Historia
Nashville 1964. Eighteen-year-old babysitter Paula Herring is murdered in her home while her six-year-old brother apparently sleeps through the grisly event. A few months later, a judge's son is convicted of the crime. Decades after the slaying, Michael Bishop, a private citizen, stumbles upon a secret file related to the case and with the help of some of the world's top forensic experts - including forensic psychologist Richard Walter (aka "the living Sherlock Holmes") - he uncovers the truth. What really happened is completely different from what the public was led to believe.

Amazing Read.

This book was clearly exhaustively researched and well written. Much more than just another true crime book. Highly recommended.

Historia
From a master carpenter, Making Things Right is a celebration of good craftsmanship and a tribute to manual labor in the story of a loft renovation. It is also a book about work and identity, about collaboration and pride in skilled craftsmanship, and about what it means to make things with your hands in a consumerism-driven world.

I had the misfortune of going into this book with really high expectations. It was good but not amazing. Still deciding whether I will continue the trilogy.

Historia
On Winston Churchill’s first day as prime minister, Adolf Hitler invaded Holland and Belgium. Poland and Czechoslovakia had already fallen, and the Dunkirk evacuation was just two weeks away. For the next 12 months, Hitler would wage a relentless bombing campaign, killing 45,000 Britons. It was up to Churchill to hold his country together and persuade President Franklin Roosevelt that Britain was a worthy ally - and willing to fight to the end. In The Splendid and the Vile, Erik Larson shows how Churchill taught the British people "the art of being fearless."

I don’t understand the extreme vitriol aimed at the book.
Revisado: 02-05-20
Although I agree with many of the negative things the critics have written regarding the stereotypes and flat rendition of Latino culture, I don’t understand the level of hate towards the book and the author. It seems the author was well-meaning even if the execution was flawed.

Superb for those that into the fantasy genre
Revisado: 09-12-19
This was a good entertaining story and the narrator does an excellent job. Perhaps not at complex GRR Martins ASOIAF but good in its own right. It reminds me a lot of some of the Sanderson fantasy series both in tone, subject matter, and writing. This was easily worth the credit and will continue listening with the second book. I just hope that I don’t get stuck in a situation where I have to wait years and years for each new installment.
