Where does Behind Closed Doors rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Behind Closed Doors ranked in the top 25% of the audiobooks I have listened to.
What did you like best about this story?
The suspense was the best part of the book in addition to the ending.
Any additional comments?
A few of the torture tactics seemed unrealistic and ludicrous… to the point that they were almost amusing.

This was a fair to good story
Revisado: 04-12-14
Would you listen to Keep Quiet again? Why?
No, the story was interesting however very predictable. I had to double check the author halfway through the book. I was double guessing myself rather it was Jodi Picoult or not. It consisted of some deep seeded ethical dilemmas.... A cross between Jodi Picoult and a lifetime movie. Peeking my interest, keeping my attention but like I said very predictable. Overall, it was decent book depending on what entertains you.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
It had one of those happy ever after endings where the good and bad guys were dealt with appropriately.
Which character – as performed by Ron Livingston – was your favorite?
I didn't have a favorite character but overall the narrator very good. The voices consistently fit the occasion and were easy to listen to. Ron Livingston did not subtract from the quality of the listen.;

Would you listen to Defending Jacob again? Why?
I enjoyed the book, however I think one time was enough. I bought it on a $5.95 special which made it a great value. Although it is worth credit.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Defending Jacob?
I thought it was touching when Jacob's grandfather involved himself despite the animosity. Grover Gardner did a really good job at adding a lot of personality to the characters.
Which scene was your favorite?
Of course, I'm sucker for happily ever after.
Any additional comments?
Defending Jacob is an entertaining book somewhat of a drama/ thriller and lastly a mystery. The mystery was very predictable however there was an unexpected twist at the end.

Revisado: 10-07-13
If you could sum up Just What Kind of Mother are You? in three words, what would they be?
The three words I would use to describe this book are;
1. -thought provoking ( counting this as one :-)
2. -interesting
3. -drawn out ( in the beginning)
If you could rename Just What Kind of Mother are You?, what would you call it?
The title is perfect! It's eye catching, true to the story. Over all just a great name that reflects every parent that self evaluates and observes others, at one time or another, in whIch I think most of us do.
Any additional comments?
This was a good book and worth the credit. The english accent was not too pronounced and did not interfere with comprehension. It's about a few families and the ups and downs we all experience. One mothers, that is really hard on herself, realizes that some peoples/family go through a great deal to hide their secrets and how deceptive appearances can be.
Most of those "perfect" people/families by appearance are a facade. Sometime their issues use others that are not so savvy in the game to keep it all glued to together. In some cases that glue doesn't stick as well as expected and may expose deep, hidden, embarrassing, ugly information that would turn their families inside out. While it opens the eyes of naïve family's/people that try to "keep up with the Jones's" in a financial organizational and domestic way. I found it difficult to put down.
The Villain was a surprise but there weren't many characters to choose from to keep you guessing. I think, if it it were a little more suspenseful, and didn't drag on in the beginning, I would have given it 5 stars.

Revisado: 10-02-13
Where does The Weight of Silence rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
On a scale of one to ten... this is about a six or seven. Depending on your interests the score could go up a notch higher or lower.
Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?
The characters were interesting but some of the things that happened seemed a little far-fetched. The father was really off the deep edge but I guess there are people out there like that and wives that tolerate them.
Any additional comments?
This was a family drama. It had several suspenseful moments. I think everybody's heart goes out to two little missing girls, that premise is the entire meat and potatoes of the book.It was a good listen to fill the time. I think it's best compared to a Lifetime movie that has happy times and heart aches but by the end it wraps up in a pretty bow.

A high-profile attorney in the middle of a leave of absence following a personal tragedy is drawn back into the legal arena amidst a media firestorm when he agrees to represent a popular rap artist accused of brutally murdering his pop star girlfriend. With its powerful voice, pause-resisting tension, and strong cast of characters, Adam Mitzner’s novels are reminiscent of such best-selling authors as Scott Turow and John Grisham.

Great! Really difficult to put down
Revisado: 10-02-13
What did you like best about this story?
The entire story had so many twists and turns. As soon as you thought that you had it figured out a different door opens. It's a story about a once successful lawyer that is down and out after his wife and young daughter were by were fatally injured by a drunk driver. He meets an inexperienced attractive attorney that enlists him to represent a rap artist charged with murder. Resistant in the beginning and obsessed by the end with both the attorney and the case he struggles with with his moral and emotional compass and is challenged to keeping both in tact. The case and the characters are and both interesting while providing plenty of a entertainment... the good, the bad and the not so pretty. It's a somewhat realistic story and will keep you guessing.
What does Kevin T. Collins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The voices were very different and well suited for each character, I enjoy that.
Any additional comments?
This reads like a good John Grisham novel with out the folksy Ford County country life. It twists with surprises like Gone Girl. I found it to be an interesting mix. I will keep my eyes open for other books by this author.

If your looking for a Sookie stories... Its not.
Revisado: 04-19-13
Would you listen to An Apple for the Creature again? Why?
There are several good short stories but I was expecting more by Charlaine Harris but it was just one short story. There were a few other good authors but there were several I needed to skip.
What did you like best about this story?
The first story with Sookie but that was very good at best.
What does Angela Dawe and Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrators were good, not great but not bad.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
This is a mixture of short stories by several authors so i don't think that really applicable.
Any additional comments?
I gave this four generous stars. It's okay at best.

Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Suspenseful, constantly kept me guessing
Revisado: 07-31-12
Would you listen to Gone Girl again? Why?
Yes, it started out slow but after the first few chapters I was very intrested. After a few more I couldn't but it down and after a few more I stayed up half the night to finish it.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Thinking it was your typical husband ditches wife love triangle, Flynn offers so much more you'll surprised without a doubt.
Which scene was your favorite?
The karma
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely, and I did. My IPad stayed with me through the morning and went to bed with me.
Any additional comments?
I love Gillian Flynn's books, wish he'd write more, this is by far the best! You won't be disappointed!
