Definitely not unabridged

This is a performance with plenty of artistic license. While it's not a bad performance I was looking for the unabridged Daughter of Time, it's much better than any performance. I was hopeful since the description stated that it was unabridged but am disappointed that it actually is abridged.

Unfortunately very poor narration

The narration is odd and poor, completely unnatural, with odd pauses, and poor pronunciation. Disappointing.

Too much introspection & romance

Even at the halfway point I really had to struggle to finish, it was pretty obvious and OMG the endless introspection. It got to the point where I no longer cared about any of the characters, especially Kat, TBH I hoped she would be killed off. Not in the least bit scary.

Horrible Narration

The narrator mispronounces the simplest words, such as pronouncing “enigma” as “enema”, and “abominable” as “abonible”. At one point every word that ended in “a” was pronounced as If it ended in an “er”, but it’s not done like that throughout the book. There is a disclaimer at the beginning of the written description of this audio book stating that the American narrator is speaking using the queen’s English but that is definitely not the case, just extremely poor narration.

Narrator/Author sounds beyond bored!

The narrator/author sounds so bored and barely awake through the entire reading. The subject is interesting but his narration made it almost a chore to listen to.

Great Story - OK Narrator

I always imagined Kinderman's voice as deep and with a slight accent. The way the narrator reads him is flat and without inflections. Great story though.

Someone really likes rape scenes

Not scary but disturbing in the fact that the writer clearly has many rape fantasies. Lorraines ego is clearly displayed by the way she is described. Obviously fiction and poorly written, do not recommend.

Not even a little scary. Cute story with sugar sweet and obvious ending...kind of like Nancy Drew meets Bewitched.

Meh...not even a little scary

This has to be the most laid back non-scary book that I have ever read. There isn't any emotion, definitely aren't any scares, actually pretty boring. I know it's fiction and deals with the unbelievable (ghosts) but the hero's nearly magical powers starting with language and ending with being loooooved by all non-nasty ghosts that make him able to physically beat the nasty ghosts to death is a little too far fetched. If you're looking for scares, look elsewhere.
