Zac returns from the Perennial Vastness, finding Earth already embroiled in war. The Kan'Tanu Cult pouring into the sector, determined to make it theirs. The System is fanning the flames with treasures and opportunities, using the conflict to choose candidates for its trial. A strong arm and a sharp axe isn't enough to keep Earth safe. Zac has to secure the resources and alliances necessary for his empire, all while dealing with the fallout of Leandra's schemes.

Ultom stirs and the Era turns. The sector is gearing up for war, unknowing the enemy has already reached their doorstep. The Void Star will become a springboard for their invasion unless Zac can stop them. Meanwhile, a mysterious inheritance is rising from the depths of history, one connected to Zac's origin. Ancient plans are coming to fruition as the Multiverse's elites flock to Zecia. Zac has finally reunited with his old companion, but will it be enough to survive the gathering storm?

Nimon, The God of Death, has named Jax and all who follow him "Apostate" decreeing their death and has dispatched his Dark Legion, the Imperial Legion's antithesis, to see the job done once and for all. Hundreds march on the Great Tower, the seat of Jax's power and home to his resurgent Empire. New companions, new threats, and at last a real home. Jax has a chance to turn his territory into more than a relic, buried deep in the forest. War is on the horizon . . . Things are looking up for Jax, more or less. He's met the girl (Wisp) of his dreams, got some new friends (the kind he'd fought with and alongside in his gaming), and even managed to start a war . . . Okay, that last bit might not have been the wisest thing he's ever done, but the guy was an ass, and he deserved it . . .

Jax survived the Smugglers Path, as did most of his party, but he's suffered losses, found out just how far he's willing to go for Oracle, and seen his own darker side . . . as have his followers. The City of Himnel crawls with depravity, violence, and backstabbing, and if Jax wants to keep his people, supply his growing war-machine, and have any kind of a chance at survival, he needs to not only survive there, he needs to rob it blind!
