Historia
Adrian Montague has a bright future. The sole heir to his father’s estate, he is an up and coming political writer and engaged to an activist who challenges and inspires him. But most young Lords aren’t battling the debilitating anxiety Adrian secretly lives with, or the growing fear that it might consume him and all he hopes to accomplish. When a newly found keepsake of hers—a piece of a broken spyglass—comes into Adrian’s possession, he’s thrust into the past and finds himself face-to-face with an older brother he never knew he had.

I Love this Series
Revisado: 12-18-21
I enjoyed the swashbuckling humor, pathos, and sharply delineated characters and relished the period romp all over the world with the three unorthodox and way ahead of their time Montague siblings.

Historia
Plain-spoken, headstrong Ophelia cares little about appearances. Her ability to read the past of objects is unmatched in all of Anima, and, what’s more, she possesses the ability to travel through mirrors, a skill passed down to her from previous generations. Her idyllic life is disrupted, however, when she is promised in marriage to Thorn, a taciturn and influential member of a distant clan. She must leave all she knows behind and follow her fiancé to Citaceleste, the capital of a cold, icy ark known as the Pole, where danger lurks around every corner and nobody can be trusted.

Historia
In the wake of tragedy, neither Lazlo nor Sarai are who they were before. One a god, the other a ghost, they struggle to grasp the new boundaries of their selves as dark-minded Minya holds them hostage, intent on vengeance against Weep. Lazlo faces an unthinkable choice—save the woman he loves, or everyone else?—while Sarai feels more helpless than ever. But is she? Sometimes, only the direst need can teach us our own depths, and Sarai, the muse of nightmares, has not yet discovered what she's capable of.

A masterpiece
Revisado: 01-05-19
This book is absolutely delicious, moving, beautiful and pure genius. Laini Taylor is a magician of emotion, words, plot, and character. The performance was truly exceptional and did justice to the book.
Each character in this highly imaginative tale has true depth and their own arc. We even have sympathy for her villains— all except the long gone Skathis the true villain behind all the evil that is slowly and painstakingly revealed.
I really do hope there are more books in this series because it’s hard to leave Sarai and Lazlo.

Clayton’s writing is magical vivid and defies description. If world building was an Olympic sport she’d win gold. Additionally the voice performance is genius in its own right. Perfect and enjoyable experience.
