Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

the details were beautiful,
Revisado: 03-13-25
I have listened to this book three times and saw the movie and will probably listen to it a couple more times. I have to say this is probably my top three books that I love the most. the writer put in such great detail and emotion and raw feelings into it. I would highly recommend

Historia
Meredith and Nina Whitson are as different as sisters can be. One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard; the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father falls ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters.

The true feelings in the story made you feel what the character felt. The mother's love for her children and husband.
Revisado: 02-21-25
I loved how it showed a momma heart at it's fullest and at its saddest.

Historia
Like many couples, Michael and Jolene Zarkades have to face the pressures of everyday life—children, careers, bills, chores—even as their twelve-year marriage is falling apart. Then a deployment sends Jolene deep into harm's way and leaves defense attorney Michael at home, unaccustomed to being a single parent to their two girls. As a mother, it agonizes Jolene to leave her family, but as a solider, she has always understood the true meaning of duty. In her letters home, she paints a rose-colored version of her life on the front lines, shielding her family from the truth.

Twilight with a Christian twist . SO GOOD
Revisado: 02-08-24
This story is about a guardian angel, of sorts, in human form. I love the writing style and it reminds me of Twilight a bit, but with a bit of a Christian twist.
A great read, full of action! Relatively short too and great for car rides! Overall, I love Alex and Cierra and can't wait for the second book to come out!!

Historia
Young people today enter adulthood with expectations of blissful dating followed by romantic, fulfilling marriages only to discover they've been duped. They learned about love and sexuality from social media, their friends, Disney fairy tales, pornography, or even their own rocky pasts, and they have no idea what healthy, lifelong love is supposed to be like. The results are often disastrous, with this generation becoming one of the most relationally sick, sexually addicted, and divorce-ridden in history.

I will now gift this book at every wedding
Revisado: 10-18-18
I've read this book twice: once while engaged, and now once while newly married. I only wish I knew of it before so I could have read it while dating and single.
It's real. it's down to earth and a great example of real people learning to make their relationships about God.
Im in my low 20s now, but i want to gift it at every wedding of my friends now. It's absolutely incredible and a quick read.
It forces me to stop and think about my motivations. Marriage/relationships aren't about making yourself happy. It's about honoring God. A lot easier said than done!

Historia
On a brisk autumn day, a 13-year-old boy stands on the shores of the gray Atlantic, near a silent amusement park and a fading ocean resort called the Alhambra. The past has driven Jack Sawyer here: His father is gone, his mother is dying, and the world no longer makes sense. But for Jack everything is about to change. For he has been chosen to make a journey back across America - and into another realm. One of the most influential and heralded works of fantasy ever written, The Talisman is an extraordinary novel of loyalty, awakening, terror, and mystery.

Story is great. Reader was AWFUL
Revisado: 01-28-18
It took me months to get through the book. That was only when I gave in and tried the physical copy. The story is great but the reader stretched out his words and exhales too loud and too often. I'd recommend the book, not the audiobook, which hurts me to say, because I LOVE audiobooks more generally.
