The biggest mistake of Jaye Colfax’s life was letting Velvet Spencer leave. For three years, they were together exclusively and it was great—at least for Jaye. But Velvet wanted more. Jaye wouldn’t commit to anything because he just didn’t believe in love or marriage. Tired of waiting, Velvet left him without so much as a goodbye. Only then did Jaye realize he’d been too proud to admit he loved her. But it was too late—his stubbornness had cost him the love of his life.

Porn!
Revisado: 03-21-23
Poor story, poor character development, no plot, just detailed sex action. I must be a prude but I would like to be warned if it is a book on porn.

Historia
For Bixby Alexander Tam (nicknamed Bat), life tends to be full of surprises - some of them good, some not so good. Today, though, is a good-surprise day. Bat's mom, a veterinarian, has brought home a baby skunk, which she needs to take care of until she can hand him over to a wild-animal shelter. But the minute Bat meets the kit, he knows they belong together. And he's got one month to show his mom that a baby skunk might just make a pretty terrific pet.

My granddaughter was bored!
Revisado: 07-25-22
This book is very boring. Probably best suited for a 5-6 year old. It needs to be advertised to be about an autistic boy.

Historia
Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. When Emerson tragically passes away, she leaves one final wish for her best friends: to conquer the fears they still carry as adults. For Marley, it's coming to terms with the survivor's guilt she's carried around since her twin sister's death, which has left her blind to the real chance for romance in her life. For Georgia, it's learning to stop trying to live up to her mother's and brother's ridiculous standards and learning to accept love.

I hated this book. It constantly talked about being fat. I found it boring and I did not want to waste my time with it. I only made it a quarter into the book before I decided I could not stand it any longer.

Soft porn with little literary skill
Revisado: 11-24-17
I listened to the whole book. I enjoyed the readers. They did a great job with a boring book. The “F” word is used way to much. The sex scenes were forced and just a bunch of dirty words. The story is a bit trite.

Historia
This collection of short, action-filled stories of the Old West's most egregiously badly behaved female outlaws, gamblers, soiled doves, and other wicked women offers a glimpse into the Western women's experience that's less sunbonnets and more six-shooters. During the late 1800s, while men were settling the new frontier and rushing off to the latest boomtowns, women of easy virtue found wicked lives west of the Mississippi when they followed fortune hunters seeking gold and land in an unsettled territory.

Brave Women of the West
Revisado: 11-11-17
I loved this book. It was very well performed and was very entertaining. The book basically is several short venuettes of different women known in the West from about 1870 until 1920. Several are orphans or young women with no education; they are all smart, resilient, and creative. It left me wondering “how would I survive given the same circumstances.” It would be a great read for women’s’ studies. Read it; you won’t be disappointed!
