Seen this trope a few times. When it is done well it is good. Carried the big secret to long and had to wrap up to fast at the end. IRL I know I would have been super pissed if I were the guy and would have needed more then 5 min to get over it. Yeah I get it that she had it rough but he might as well have crawled over ground glass before going through a salt flat just to get dumped in vinegar. Then get cleaned off in alcohol.

Sorry she needed a bit more suffering for the guy. Yeah her parents were not nice but after 5 or 6 years you figure it out. Not 14.

Not bad recording has problems

Typical of this type of story. Even a bit predictable which is fine as I listen while I work or drive I do not want to have to think to hard.

Technical issues
Not hard to get at least a semi pro level microphone. This computer installed mic or cheap logictech mic is good for making it sound like you are on a radio reporting in. To the voice actor go to a music store and put down about $300 on a set up that will be clear. Presonus Audiobox USB with Studio one (any version) and an AKG Precision 120 is enough to make it sound so much better. You can even get the above mention set up used for about $150 now. There is even better out there to put together. Make sure you isolate the mic and use a pop filter as well. Isolate meaning if you can not make a sound proof room you can put the mic in a box and put foam all around it to isolate the sound. Its called talking into a trash can.

I was doing my lunch time walk when I started this one. Already listened to the other two and like I said okay to listen to in order to go without thinking. This one made me pause at the very beginning. I do podcasting, audio, video training, and remote training for a living so I may be to much of a professional on this. However there are a ton of other wanabe voice actors on ACX that are being passed up for this Luddite.

Started Okay then rushed to the end

Other reviews have said it. The reason for the conflict is very weak on the part of the h. The betrayal of the best friend and all he says in the letter is so messed up.

Bottom line the book needs to be about 40k to 60k words longer. The h was really small minded and was not begging for forgiveness but demanding it. No she needed to really suffer and learn that she was truly small minded and her and the guy she ran away with knowing what the knew where cruel at a level to be groveling and showing a turn around that was just not here.

If this was a book where the H did something that messed up (and there are many) the H would need to do a lot to earn back the h good graces. Not demand forgiveness but earn it by action and true contrition.

Music and constant sound effects through out. Very difficult to listen with the other sounds. Who were the producers 14 year olds?

The story was good as usual. The recording was inconsistent with pegging out on recording volume
So technical director or sound editing needs a lot of work

Standard story of two Texans with a Canadian acce

The story is about a couple of people from Texas meeting in a game show. The narrator did a good job with putting the emphasis where it was needed but her Canadian accent bled through in very distracting ways.

Also some sound edit errors were distracting as well.

I just couldn't get into it for some reason just not something I could do I mean I like my supernatural stories however this one just couldn't kick me hooked
