Historia
Jack Reilly's luck ran out just before the war did. Resigning his commission in the Alliance shortly after the end of the war with the Serkins, he went out into the galaxy looking for a job. Signing onto the Glacier Runner 17, an old and rundown cargo ship, Reilly finds himself working for a clueless captain, mixed up in an intergalactic conspiracy, on the run from assassins, and involved with two women in relationships that he could only call "complicated". And that's just book one. Follow Lt. Jack Reilly and his partner, Major Mitchel, through their adventures.

The mix of a mechanic and a marine Fantastic!
Revisado: 04-14-25
The narration and story was both very enjoyable and easy to listen to! Being a former marine helicopter mechanic with four years of infantry experience this series was a welcome diversion and I highly recommend it!

Historia
Wendy Cadge and Shelly Rambo demonstrate the urgent need, highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic, to position the long history and practice of chaplaincy within the rapidly changing landscape of American religion and spirituality. This book provides a much-needed road map for training and renewing chaplains across a professional continuum that spans major sectors of American society, including hospitals, prisons, universities, the military, and nursing homes.

Profoundly important with far reaching effects on hurting people!
Revisado: 04-03-25
As a new chaplain, the depths of responsibility to help and not hurt the people we serve is well explained!
I have listened to it twice, it has widened my view of what a chaplain is and how they can help the people that God has placed in their path, both spiritually and administratively! I’m thankful for this insight!

Revisado: 09-24-23
R.C. Bray is amazing! Stephen Moss’s AI ideas are eye opening! The idea of man into machine is so easy to see and so easy to feel from the wording the writer uses! The 3 books are poetry in surprising ways, it is a must read!!!

Historia
The Federation's military command is desperate, and with their fleet still in tatters, they make a last-ditch effort to free the planet: They pull Captain Jackson Wolfe out of retirement and put him in command of a ship they hope can get past the defending armada and provide support to the beleaguered Marines and civilians fighting on the surface of the contested world. There is no reasoning with this enemy. If the Terran Federation wants their planet back, they will have to pay the price.

Revisado: 01-29-23
It is rare to listen to a book that has fantastic narration, great individual development and an enjoyable story line commentary come together like this series of books has done. Even when I listen to the story again it is a joy to hear.

Revisado: 12-26-22
I’ve listened to the first 3 books and I’m trying to wait and listen to something else, but I can’t the books have all been fantastic and I’m getting the 4th book when I finish this review! The characters are well thought out, the BOB’S are unexpectedly individuals and the lives that they touch are wonderfully enjoyable! And the narrator is awesome!

To add to the surprise, he is now a sentient computer and the controlling intelligence for a Von Neumann probe. Familiar but not but very good!
Revisado: 12-22-22
Listening to this story is like a conversation with out the he said she said feel, it has enough technical depth to keep me interested but the AI’s (Bob’s) grow
To feel, to experiment with the idea to be alive again (human). Bob’s ability to duplicate wasn’t a surprise but the variations of personality was! I’m a fan! I love science fiction and this has all the ingredients but the flavor of it is different and good!

Amazing Tech!
Revisado: 06-16-22
I read this book a few years ago, the tech ideas are amazing. The Author being able to thread all of it into a coherent story was quite enjoyable. After reading the Black fleet Trilogy by Joshua Dalzelle, he brought fighting the ship to another level. I still find spinward fringe enjoyable. The narrator was not to the level of Mark Boyett or Andy Weir, thus I took a couple of points off of performance. I wish the rest of the series was available Audible does have book two, but I’m hesitant because of the narrator.

Exceptional Read! Exceptional Narration!
Revisado: 06-06-22
I have read many science fiction novels, but this book after my third time
My first two times reading and the third listening to it, fills me with hope for our future.
I love this crew, the individual members is as well known to me, the in-depth descriptions
For each crew member is the best I’ve ever read. The detail’s of their cultures and sensitivities
Is fascinating and easily understood. Not since Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, have I felt this way about a novel! It is one of my most favorite books I’ve read and as Kizzy would say, oh PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, write a follow on to this book! Thank you Becky for this gift!

Revisado: 05-27-22
The character’s in the store are are well thought out and easy to follow. The evolution of equipment and tactics are within reason. But what really caught my attention was the burden of racism wolf had to endure, the anger of it! Yet he made it through!
