Started out strong, then got boring for the rest
Revisado: 08-22-22
Book 1 was better overall. I got into it and wanted to carry on to the end. Decker solidly was imprinted in my mind, and I wanted to hear more. Decker was not the same character in this story. Unfortunately, the reading of his character was opposite of what I thought him to be based on Book 1. This book started out strong, then got boring for the rest of it. Bland time-filling drama that went round and round. I struggled to get interested to listen to the end, started looking at how much time was left Although read very well, I found it hard to keep the female characters straight. I will try "The Fix" and see where this series goes. I could have skipped it.

Historia
Three women have been found brutally murdered in south London, the victims only feet away from help during each sadistic attack. And the killer is getting braver.... Sarah Grainger is rapidly becoming too afraid to leave her house. Once an outgoing photographer, she knows that someone is watching her. A cryptic note brings everything into terrifying focus, but it’s the chilling phone calls that take the case to another level. DI Mike Lockyer heads up the regional murder squad. With three bodies on his watch, and a killer growing in confidence, he frantically tries to find the link between these seemingly isolated incidents.

No hook... Had High expectations but it was flat.

After just listening to Deep Survival, I just found this to be quite boring. Characters were shallow in my opinion. Story just plugged along but I never felt captivated. I forced myself through it since it was a long car ride, but I had to re-listen to several passages as I found myself lost in other thoughts. After investing so much time into it, I had to go all the way to the end, but I was glad when it ended. Production quality was A+, Narration was also very good.

Historia
As quintessentially British as a plate of fish and chips or a British bulldog, the boxy, utilitarian Land Rover Defender has become an iconic part of what it is to be British. It is said that for more than half the world's population, the first car they ever saw was a Land Rover Defender. It mirrors many of our national traits, stiff upper-lipped and slightly eccentric.

Covers it all, though jumps around a bit
Revisado: 08-07-18
Rather than a year by year chronology, this book describes phases or chapters within the Land Rover timeline. As a Series Rover owner myself, I had heard of many of the stories but not with so much detail. Plus I learned way more about others items not often mentioned elsewhere. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to other LR junkies.

Historia
When the National Security Agency’s invincible code-breaking machine encounters a mysterious code it cannot break, the agency calls its head cryptographer, Susan Fletcher, a brilliant, beautiful mathematician. What she uncovers sends shock waves through the corridors of power. The NSA is being held hostage…not by guns or bombs but by a code so complex that if released would cripple U.S. intelligence. Caught in an accelerating tempest of secrecy and lies, Fletcher battles to save the agency she believes in.

Not a bad listen.

Started out well, slowed by the end and some what predictable. Classic cliff hanger finish. subject matter was interesting throughout.
