I listened to this book in one setting. I like to listen to books while I clean or work as having ADHD it helps me stay focused if there is back ground noise. But I found my self sitting down and just listen as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and that it is true. But you will look different at that friend who speaks of their child’s numerous issues in a whole new light! Great book!

The mystery and thinking you know where it is going and you aren’t even close!

Loved it! It doesn’t end the way you anticipated. Which was nice. But in the end the true person like or dislike wins!

I heart warming

Great story of love and a how much someone’s love passed through generations to generations and it doesn’t have to be from your own family! But a parents love for their child is life long! You will love this story!

Great book

I know Nicholas Sparks has said, he believes this is one of his best books. I don’t necessarily agree with him! But I will agree it is a great book! I was t getting the two separate story lines, and trying to figure it out, wasted too much time, just go with it and listen to the whole book, he puts it together nicely! Don’t do what is easy, but what is right and that’s exactly what this story is all about! Enjoy!

Most horrific true life story ever

To even know that people can endure such cruelty is unbelievable. The will for the body to live and a person's survival strength is outlined in this book. I can't even imagine one person inflicting so much pain and physical abuse to another person, let alone a whole family abusing the same person over and over again and enjoying it, scares me to my core. Evil, is in this families blood. Satan lives in their souls. Still can't even believe this happens in our world.

Great Book

If you like legal drama, you will love this book! This is probably one of my favorites! After your first impression of someone, can you change that impression or thought you have summed up about that person? I think you can, if you give the person a chance! This books main characters do that! You won’t be sorry, great story line, great narration, great book!

Right up there with The Notebook

I’ve been a Nicholas Sparks fan since I read his first book, The Notebook. I have read them all, watched the ones turned into movies and now listen to! In the beginning Mr. Sparks says he believes this is his greatest book, me thinking “ah have you read your books?” Notebook is by far my favorite, well until now! Now I don’t know. Really! If you love N.S, books, you are going to be a fan! Just sit back, listen and enjoy! Narrators are great, the story is, well, if you’re like me, your heart and emotions will be on roller coaster ride and it’s the greatest ride you will ever have, without leaving the comforts of where you’re listen to this book at!

This book has a lot of plots that work together. It ends with a nice “bow” but also the possibility of a sequel!

Great Listen

You will enjoy listening to this book! The narrator does a fantastic job! The story line was interesting and was able to keep my interest even though I had an idea as to what was going to happen and figured out the ending! That’s only because I have lived awhile and can’t push my knowledge of certain types of people aside as much as I wanted to! But you will enjoy the book! Good over evil is what we triumph for!
