Historia
Hundreds of years ago, the last humans on Earth boarded the Exodus Fleet in search of a new home among the stars. After centuries spent wandering empty space, their descendants were eventually accepted by the well-established species that govern the Milky Way. But that was long ago. Today, the Exodus Fleet is a living relic, the birthplace of many, yet a place few outsiders have ever visited. As many Exodans leave for alien cities or terrestrial colonies, those who remain are left to ponder their own lives and futures.

Nothing happens
Revisado: 02-23-24
while the story had much character building and lots of development, nothing went on. there was no conflict, bo climax, no twist, no anything of value that happened. narrator is great as always though!

Great narrator, decent story.
Revisado: 12-14-22
I found it a little bit on the cheesy side.
The main character is a bit childish for his role but fills himself in better at the end. It wasn't quite on the serious side and I appreciate the occasional humor.

Just wasn't a very engaging storyline. the first book was good, but as it all progresses, it just drones on. also there was a bit of audio skipping and the ending was anticlimactic to me. just wasn't quite worth the time imo.

Was entertaining
Revisado: 11-20-20
The book overall was good. the story was mostly engaging by lacked imagery. Battle scenes were not too great and seemed to miss details but was mostly good. rated 4 stars because the love story is so bad that it should just be left out. there's no reason for a baby to be included or love to feel so lackluster. reminds me of middle school.

Narrator was ok
Revisado: 10-06-20
the narrator was a little hard to follow sometimes. sounding dull during excitement, sounded excited and spoke fast when it was calm. wasn't always like that, but was a good way to break the immersion. he did pretty well overall and got better towards the end of the series. but still needs some work.

Historia
Brutally defeated by the blood shaman Gomrung, Paul and his party are taken captive and sent on a journey to Lutdor, the orc capital. To the orcs, they are nothing more than sacks of blood to be spilt on Vasla's altar during high festival. Accompanying them is an elf princess with an icy personality, aloof even in battle and reluctant to share any knowledge of the Wild. The march goes awry when they come across an enchanted willow tree feasting on decomposing corpses and an elven outpost in flames.

Great read.
Revisado: 06-23-20
I loved the whole story here. The beginning was a bit confusing because it's been a little while since I've listened to the last book. The story just throws you right into where you left off without introduction or preamble so it i had to go back and re-read the last chapter in the previous book to get myself going again. Other than that, it was a great story with mostly non-stop action.

As a long time gamer, and RPG lover, this book was exciting all the way through. The moment when you first start playing your future favorite game is one this book is good at captivating. Well enough imagery, clear voiced narrator and after that ending, I cant wait for the next one!

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Earth is no longer the center of the universe. After the invention of the faster-than-light jump drive, humanity is rapidly establishing new colonies. the book itself wansnt great. Sounds like it was written by an adept highschooler. the plot was engaging enough, but late execution with voring characters makes the end feel rushed. first 1/2 wasnt too bad, but only mild imagery.
