Historia
If you told me I'd be on a reality dating show with a man I can't stand while the guy I haven't been able to forget films it all, I'd tell you to kick rocks. Alas, here I am, pretending to fall in love with a man who'd marry himself if he could all while my TV producer best friend has front seats to it all. It'd be a lot easier if the self-centered bachelor wasn't hot as hell and charming beyond reason when the cameras are rolling. Or if I didn't get heart palpitations every time my best friend looked at me.

Light fun read
Revisado: 04-07-25
It was a fun read overall, but it kind of lost me towards the end since it felt like the FML was dragging things out by not being honest with herself and the guys vying for her attention.

Tons of sexual tension with an attentive male lead
Revisado: 02-02-25
If you like down-bad male leads, then this book is definitely worth a shot. The spy stuff is also fun and adds tension while the side characters add to the humor of the story. The female lead is stubborn but still able to make good decisions. There’s A LOT of sexual tension in the book, so if you’re not into the two leads being horny 80% of the time, then this might be a difficult listen. But, between you and me, the way he talks to her in those tense moments is *chef kiss*.
And the narrator did an awesome job voicing all the characters. I’m so impressed!

The voice actors killed it
Revisado: 07-31-24
The story is fine. I think the third act issue made sense with how both characters were set up, so I’m happy for that. But the voice actors REALLY made the audiobook. They were perfect for their characters!

I cried
Revisado: 05-31-24
The voice performance was fantastic. You could hear so much emotion in the last chapters of the book and it really sold the writing.
The writing itself was fantastic. It was well paced and engaging. Everything tied up beautifully. In a way that it was a surprise, but made so much sense looking back.
Beautifully written. Beautifully voice acted. Highly recommend.

Quite the conclusion
Revisado: 02-13-24
The more the story progressed, the more I was desperately hoping a CERTAIN person ended up the culprit getting what they deserved. I was definitely satisfied with the ending.
There’s also a lot of racial commentary throughout the book that will leave you with things to think about when you done.

Historia
Danika Brown knows what she wants: professional success, academic renown, and an occasional roll in the hay to relieve all that career-driven tension. But romance? Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. Romantic partners, whatever their gender, are a distraction at best and a drain at worst. So Dani asks the universe for the perfect friend-with-benefits - someone who knows the score and knows their way around the bedroom.

Terrible
Revisado: 09-28-23
I hated this book. It’s probably the worst book I’ve ever finished. I tried to keep giving it grace because it was so popular but I regret it. I hated the main character and I think Hades got taller every scene he appeared in. The narrator wasn’t terrible.

Was hoping for more…
Revisado: 09-28-23
It took me months to get through this audio. It took wayyyyyy too long to get past the teenage love story. I wish it showed more clown shenanigans. I only liked the last 1.5 hours of the book. And cutting to another scene just when something was about to get interesting gets old really quickly.
The voice acting was good though.

The end sort of ruined the book for me
Revisado: 11-26-21
I started this book after multiple people recommended it to me. I think the book was cute and seeing the two main protagonists bond was really nice. My only issue was the “plot twist” near the end of the book. I don’t want to call it a plot twist since it’s mentioned a couple times prior to the climax of the book, but my main issue was how characters reacted. I don’t want to spoil the book, so I won’t go into detail about the plot twist and character reactions. That being said, how two characters reacted to the plot twist annoyed me to no end because it essentially comes down to a matter of who do you trust more. The author does explain why characters reacted the way they did, but by that point my vibe was completely destroyed. Despite my rating and my opinion, I would recommend this book to people who likes the enemies to lovers trope and forced proximity.

Historia
When his mother became President, Alex Claremont-Diaz was promptly cast as the American equivalent of a young royal. Handsome, charismatic, genius—his image is pure millennial-marketing gold for the White House. There's only one problem: Alex has a beef with the actual prince, Henry, across the pond. And when the tabloids get hold of a photo involving an Alex-Henry altercation, U.S./British relations take a turn for the worse.

Cute and light hearted
Revisado: 11-10-21
If you’re looking for a book where you can simply sit back and listen to two boys fawn over each other, then this book will be great for you. It’s simple and sweet. There were times where I lost interest because there’s only so much romance I can take. The two main leads are absolutely infatuated with each other. Like I said, it’s really cute, but I am too jaded at times to enjoy the book. I think my only problem with the book (a very minor problem) was that it felt like the main character’s Hispanic heritage would be brought up at times, but wouldn’t be fully incorporated into the book. It’s like I’d almost forgot he’s Hispanic even though his heritage is said to be a large part of who he is in the book. Other than that I really had no problems with book. I think this would be a great for people who just want to read something lighthearted and fun.
