loved the book. the speed of the character growth was spot on leaving plenty of room for future plots and plenty of foreshadowing that just left me bitting at the bit for future installments. the narration was well done with plenty of character diversity with plenty of rang from the narrator hope to hear her come back for book 2.

Ummm.... confusing ending. No progression. Grrrrr.

Well everything about this review is a spoiler soooo.....


So um nothing really happens in this book to further the story line in any way really and its a shame because this series is one of my favorites of Eric vall. But I just don't get the way they didn't kill Brody I mean they taked about it several times in the book like it was a forgone conclusion. I mean they killed the 3 trucks full of guys at the beginning with out even knowing if they were bad ppl but not brody. They killed the canables and they for shur had a mental illness but not brody. And I mean they said they will never see him again but the last two books they have been so concerned about fuel and brody controls the fuel how will they not see him again? There are just so many holes in the caricatures personalities in this one. And besides the brody thing literally nothing happens in this book to further the main groups plot line. Radio broadcast...... nothing new. Fuel issues....... nothing new. North Korea plot..... nothing new.
Ps. Why was this one the standard length it feels like it was missing about 7hr more of content based on the previously mentioned issues.

ya this really only has 1.5 hours of planet forging the rest of it was a ok lit RPGs but the narrators disappointed me in the fact that the don't split the men and women voices the female thoughts are the only thing she narrates but they still did good in the characters though just had one expectation but then it didn't happen and that put a bad taste in my mouth towards the rest of it.

love this series cant wait for the next one to come out the narrative skills of this team is amazing as well they bring all the books they do together to life.

the story felt a little rushed and two dimensional not anofe preamble and back story to the world they left of arrived in.

i love this series the story followed well throughout, the voices were on point from all the cast,and added sound effects were like the cherry on the sweet cake of the amazing amount of work that went into it

the story has action, fantasy, and mystery. just a man having fun farming, in a women ruled world trying not to get dragged down to the bottom but his place in the world
