Historia
Proper rest is so vital for us that we spend around a third of our lives asleep, recharging our batteries so that we are ready to face the day ahead. For children, it is a crucial part of growing and developing, but for adults it is no less important. We have all suffered from the effects of a lack of sleep, not functioning at our full capacity and making mistakes as a result.

I personally get stressed out when I feel like the story might end quickly. These stories are no longer than five maybe 10 minutes at the most, and they’re mostly less than that. I don’t like story jumping. When I’m trying to fall asleep, it interrupts my sleep.

I loved the story and could relate to it in many ways. There was more about chemical dependency than I was expecting but it was still very applicable.

Wise words...
Revisado: 11-28-15
I felt very moved by this book in numerous ways. Not so much a reflection of the Buddhist lifestyle necessarily but of loving kindness in general. I like her take on child rearing. I respect it and feel that she put a lot of love into it. I like a more fast-paced reader. Her voice is very gentle and caring.

There are only two paths in life: average and awesome. The average path is easy because all you have to do is nothing. The awesome path is more challenging, because things like fear only bother you when you do work that matters. The good news is Start gives listeners practical, actionable insights to be more awesome, more often.

I recommend this book to over a dozen people. I love the first half of the book but the second half was not my favorite. Maybe it just wasn't applicable to my life. I think the author has a lot of enthusiasm, motivation and drive. I admire that. It is a fantastic book overall.

Just another parenting book
Revisado: 03-15-15
This wasn't a bad book but I've read a lot of parenting books. I like to learn new things and this one was pretty generic and along the same lines as most of the rest. If it's your first parenting book I think it's probably not a bad book! If you've read a bunch of parenting books I would skip this one.

Honest, true and real!
Revisado: 03-15-15
This is how I was raised. Obviously there are some things I wish my parents could've done different but for the most part, my parents raised me in a similar fashion. I appreciate this books honesty and the author is down to earth. It's definitely a hard book to listen to if you aren't prepared for some real truths. For me it's just an affirmation that the way I am doing things is probably the most efficient way!

Our most commonly held formula for success is broken. Conventional wisdom holds that once we succeed, we’ll be happy; that once we get that great job, win that next promotion, lose those five pounds, happiness will follow. But the science reveals this formula to be backward: Happiness fuels success, not the other way around.
