I really enjoyed listening to it as it took me back to my days at Connell high School.

Historia
Here is the astonishing, never-before-told story of the greatest rescue mission of World War II: when the OSS set out to recover more than 500 airmen trapped behind enemy lines. During a bombing campaign, hundreds of American airmen were shot down in Nazi-occupied Yugoslavia. Local Serbian villagers risked their own lives to give refuge to the soldiers, and for months the airmen lived in hiding, waiting for rescue.

Great Read

Today I finished listening to "The Forgotten 500" by Gregory A. Freeman. I would highly recommend this book, whether you listen to it or read it. It is a great story of loyalty and bravery in the face of the enemy, but it also makes some very important points politically. And it clearly shows that the means are not justified by the ends, indeed, the ends can go completely off the rails. Most of it is set in the mountains of Serbia, which we still find in the news today. One wonders how differently things may be now if America had acted more honorably.
