Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

Different but fun
Revisado: 01-12-23
Always fun to hear the author, and his take on the voices of his own characters. Obviously different after listening to the same narrator for so many books…
Not the strongest story but a nice little romp while waiting for the next full length

Historia
Do you know that the ancient Egyptians believed that people were made out of clay by their river god? For eons, the wisdom cultivated by the Egyptian people has been extolled time and time again. These timeless myths are fountains of insight and, many would argue, beacons of light that can shatter the darkness of ignorance. For those of you that are ready and willing to receive these ancient messages, your time has come. All you need to do is start listening. Then the wisdom of Thoth will begin to stir inside you.

Good if you know the stories/like Oliver Hunt.
Revisado: 02-10-22
Couldn't get past Oliver Hunt's accent and inflection, found that I zoned out during the stories.
The presentation of two tellings back-to-back with barely a pause for breath would be fascinating if you are already familiar with the myths, coming to them fresh it was difficult to follow.
Audible: the chapters need names!!

Historia
With this outrageous new novel, China Miéville has written one of the strangest, funniest, and flat-out scariest books you will read this—or any other—year. The London that comes to life in Kraken is a weird metropolis awash in secret currents of myth and magic, where criminals, police, cultists, and wizards are locked in a war to bring about—or prevent—the End of All Things.

Should have read rather than listened
Revisado: 07-15-21
Great story, but struggled with the narrator... Feels like he's doing the voiceover for a World War II documentary
