An outer journey becomes an inner journey. As she acknowledges that all she has left is the truth which will not set her free. The setting is Chicago and San Francisco (1915 -1945). Bridget, a product of incest, abandoned, and raised in an orphanage, yearns for a family but is passed up for adoption because of an unsightly facial birthmark.

Enjoyed and love the book. It was well put together. The book had you wondering what would happen next . The author had great way of writing how our relationships have an effect on us and what unconditional love is⭐️
