good story, faulty audio
Revisado: 06-27-18
I enjoy all the books in this series, but in this one the sound cuts in and out. At times it stops completely. That takes the enjoyment out of listening, and makes the story hard to follow.

Historia
Seven years ago, Professor Gabriel Kennedy's investigation into paranormal activity at Summer Place ended in tragedy, and destroyed his career. Now, Kelly Delaphoy, the ambitious producer of a top-rated ghost-hunting television series, is determined to make Summer Place the centerpiece of an epic live broadcast on Halloween night. To ensure success, she needs help from the one man who has come face-to-face with the evil that dwells in Summer Place, a man still haunted by the ghosts of his own failure. Disgraced and alienated from the academic community, Kennedy wants nothing to do with it. But Summer Place has other plans....

David needs a better vocabulary
Revisado: 08-24-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I would probably have been interested in the story except for the language. I would expect someone who has a grasp of the English language and long-story ability to get his point across without constant profanity.
If you’ve listened to books by David L. Golemon before, how does this one compare?
I have not
Would you listen to another book narrated by Jeffrey Kafer?
yes.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Supernaturals?
Not specific scenes, just eliminate the constant profanity.
Any additional comments?
I realize it's not your business to judge the books you sell, but it would be nice to have some sort of rating system. I'm sure there are others who don't want to hear profanity every other sentence.

Real people in a real setting
Revisado: 01-25-12
Would you listen to Tea Time for the Traditionally Built again? Why?
yes. The characters and their environment became real people by the end of the story. This is one of those books that doesn't depend totally on the outcome of the plot to be enjoyable. It's like re-reading a letter from a friend.
What other book might you compare Tea Time for the Traditionally Built to and why?
The Cater St Hangman. Even tho the two are nothing alike in content, they both are done with a G rating and have characters that become real by the end of the book I can listen to both over again with anticipation of the unfolding narrative because of the background details and the personalities and interactions of the people concerned.
Have you listened to any of Lisette Lecat’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
yes. same enjoyment level.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes.
Any additional comments?
I am always thankful when i find a book with an enjoyable story, real characters. Especially one that is done without profanity, violence, and overdone sex.
