Haymitch's story has to be the most heart breaking yet. Getting to see how and why he is the way he is makes so much sense now. Beautifully written and narrated. Just wow.

Disgusting and annoyingly written
Revisado: 12-17-24
Not only was this sickening to listen to someone defend a pedophile and try to make the reader feel bad for him for over 6 hours, it was poorly written. It felt like every other chapter someone was "losing the contents of their stomach" 😒 like have some originality in your writing please. The narrator was whiny and over the top. The premise of the book was disgusting but also boring. Zero out of 5 stars and I'm not happy that I wasted a credit on this hot pile of trash.

This book "builds" too much suspense for too long. It drug on forever and ever I felt like it was going in circles and getting repeated a lot. I didn't relate to or feel bad for any of the characters, they were all horrible.

What is that accent?
Revisado: 02-28-24
The story was good, very predictable. I knew what was going to happen like a quarter way through the book. The narrator was absolutely awful. I read other reviews about her fake accent and I was like well how bad can it be? It was bad. It's like she was trying to make the characters English and Irish at the same time? She definitely tried to go Irish for the younger version of Jo. It made no sense. Not to mention her loud swallowing and breathing... Not a bad book for it being free, but I'm glad I didn't waste a credit on an awful narrator and predictable story.

Amazing but hard to listen to at times
Revisado: 02-10-24
First of all, this is one of the best narrators I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Her voice pitches and changes and really made me feel like I was listening to a different person each chapter. The story was well written and tied up all loose ends, but it was a bit hard to listen to the creepy bits between Kellen and Wavy. Ultimately I believe they were meant for each other, but listening to the graphic descriptions of a 13 year old performing s*x acts was a bit much.

The author of the best seller Call Me by Your Name revisits its beguiling characters decades after their first meeting. In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio’s father, Samuel, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train with a beautiful young woman upends Sami’s plans and changes his life forever. Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver, now a New England college professor with a family, finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic.

Don't waste a credit
Revisado: 08-02-23
I saw the other bad reviews but decided to give this a chance because I loved Call Me By Your Name so much, but the bad reviews were right. This book is so boring and the narrator is over dramatic for no reason. I've been trying to finish it for weeks but I can't. I wish Audible would let me return this but they won't let me. I wasted a perfectly good credit on this drawn out hook up story. 🙄

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.
