Historia
On a sunny May morning in 1998 in Cortez, Colorado, three desperados in a stolen truck opened fire on the town cop, shooting him 20 times; then they blasted their way past dozens of police cars and disappeared into 10,000 square miles of the harshest wilderness terrain on the North American continent. Self-trained survivalists, the outlaws eluded the most sophisticated law enforcement technology on the planet and a pursuit force that represented more than 75 local, state, and federal police agencies with dozens of SWAT teams, U.S. Army Special Forces....

While the book has well supported theory, the reference to .233 cartridges is an error.

Historia
"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. "Ostensibly a single novel, The Company can also be listened to as an anthology of cracking good spy stories," says ( Publishers Weekly).

a well woven story of fact and fiction
Revisado: 02-23-16
used this as my gym companion fir the ladt few months. well told story, fact and fiction in regards to the main players was done with incredible attention to detail. it was a book that i could have read start to finish, had i not been relegating it to only at the gym. bit was very engaging.

Historia
With To Make Men Free, New York Times best-selling authors Newt Gingrich and William R. Forstchen take listeners to the center of a nearly forgotten Civil War confrontation, a battle that was filled with controversy and misinterpretation even before the attack began. Drawing on years of research, the authors weave a complex narrative interweaving the high aspirations of African American troops eager to prove themselves in battle and the anxiety of a president who knows the nation cannot bear another major defeat.

I really enjoyed this reading. I am encouraged to dig deeper into the background of the USCT, and Mr White.
