Historia
Sloan McPherson and the Underwater Investigation Unit have discovered a van at the bottom of a murky Florida pond. Sealed inside the watery tomb are the bodies of four teenagers who disappeared 30 years ago after leaving a rock concert. To authorities, it looks like a tragic accident. To Sloan, it looks like murder. Every piece of evidence is starting to connect to a string of cold case vanishings throughout Florida. Clue by clue, Sloan navigates the warm, dark waters where natural predators feed, knowing that the most dangerous one is still above the surface - nesting and dormant.

Historia
From the author of the wildly successful Dexter series comes a new, mesmerizing bad guy we can root for: Riley Wolfe. He’s a master thief, expert at disguise, and not averse to violence. It’s no accident, though, that Riley targets the wealthiest 0.1 percent and is willing to kill them when they’re in his way: He despises the degenerate and immoral rich and loves stealing their undeserved and unearned valuables. In this series launch, Riley aims for an extraordinary target in a heist that will make history. Riley will try to steal the Crown Jewels of Iran.

Jeff ups his game !
Revisado: 12-12-19
A must have for every Dexter fan. And really, folks, Mr Lindsay is the brain of Dexter. Now he is the brain of his new character , Riley Wolf. A great F&^%g story, no b00L sheet filler, 12 hours of fook-tastic listening. And Jeff is a proper sterling narrator. His style distinguishes the many fascinating characters. His British cockney accent is a scream. I am getting carried away. All there is left to say is " More, Mr Lindsay, MORE Riley Wolf ".

Retired from his fighting days, John Perry is now village ombudsman for a human colony on distant Huckleberry. With his wife, former Special Forces warrior Jane Sagan, he farms several acres, adjudicates local disputes, and enjoys watching his adopted daughter grow up. That is, until his and Jane's past reaches out to bring them back into the game — as leaders of a new human colony, to be peopled by settlers from all the major human worlds, for a deep political purpose that will put Perry and Sagan back in the thick of interstellar politics, betrayal, and war.

One of slower stories of the Dismas Hardy series
Revisado: 05-26-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The first 7 hours of this story are quite slow. A 2 or 3 paragraph synopsis/summary would have been adequate for that length of the story.
The plot finally picked up around hour 8 and got interesting. Lescroart is a favorite author but I feel he should have abbreviated or added better pacing to the majority of this 12 hour ( audio length) story
Would you ever listen to anything by John Lescroart again?
Yes. I have listened to all the Hardy stories over the years and some of Lescroarts other work
What does David Colacci bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Collacci is excellent. Hi 'voicing ' is superb.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
The end had a good plot twist. Just not quite worth the time to get there.

The scion of an old-money San Francisco family, Daniel Brasher left his well-paying, respectable money-manager position to marry his community organizer wife and work at a job he loves, leading group counseling sessions with recently paroled violent offenders. Inside is an unsigned piece of paper, a handwritten note that says, "Admit what you've done or you will bleed for it."

Too dark. Gave up after 2 hours
Revisado: 11-16-13
What would have made Tell No Lies better?
author needs to make the characters more likeable/interesting. The crime story simply kept on grinding on.
Has Tell No Lies turned you off from other books in this genre?
not at all.
How could the performance have been better?
scott brick was ok. His inflections and histrionics tend to detract
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I like books based in SF.
Any additional comments?
this was my 1st book by this author. Possible I do not like his style

Too dark. Overemphasis on character angst
Revisado: 03-15-13
What disappointed you about You're Next?
Difficult to listen of 12 hours of the main character's suffering and obstacles. Author should have altered it or employed some type of pacing or relief.
Would you ever listen to anything by Gregg Hurwitz again?
No, if this is his standard writing style
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Scott Brick is usually excellent. I don't think he should have sung nursery rhymes as 1 of the characters. It sounded like a difficult story for him to maintain.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
ending was acceptable and somewhat predictable. The plot finally turned and made sense with the visit to the casino.
Any additional comments?
Should have been a shorter book, as 85% of the story was about the main characters suffering and angst

Complete Waste of Time
Revisado: 01-25-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
This is so horribly written and the narrator is just awful. Total waste of time. I could barely make it through the first eight chapters before I had to throw in the towel. Thank goodness it was free but I shouldn't have wasted a credit on this piece of trash.
