not a bad story
Revisado: 03-28-24
The author could use a better edito; one more familiar with modern terms and life in Scotland. Uni not college, jumper not sweater, pound coin not bill etc. And the narrator tries hard but fails with several pronunciations. It almost works but grates just enough to distract.

A strange offering from a seasoned author - made worse by a poor narrator

Terrible narration.
Revisado: 05-03-23
No modulation in tone and voice. Couldn't tell one character from another or the narration or accent. Very sad when compared to the late Stephanie Daniel.

When Emily Cavanaugh inherits a fortune from her great-aunt, she expects her life to change. She doesn't expect to embark on a murder investigation, confront the man who broke her heart 35 years before, and nearly lose her own life. Good Performance, Unfortunate Plot
Revisado: 06-23-22
Truly thick heroine. Unbelievably naive and at times downright stupid. Unconvincing old love, the cats. Started as a great premise and ended like flat soda.
