Historia
Cassandra Devine, a young Washington spin doctor and blogger, suggests that Baby Boomers be given government incentives to kill themselves by age 75. This proposal catches on with citizens outraged about Social Security debt and a senator seeking the youth vote for his presidential bid. With the help of Washington's greatest PR strategist, Cassandra and the senator try to ride the issue of euthanasia to the White House.

Good Book - Poor Narration
Revisado: 04-19-07
I love Buckely's books. But after downloading this audio verison I had to go buy the book. The staccato develery of the narrator completely put me off. It is difficult to understand and very hard to listen to for more than a few minutes at a time. Get the book - forget the audio version!

Don't look up. It won't help. You can't get out of the way; you can't dig a hole deep enough to hide. The end is coming, and there's nothing you can do about it. So why listen to this audiobook? Because you can't cover your ears when it's not just the religious fanatics who are saying we're all going to be destroyed, but the scientists are in on the act, too.

Overpriced
Revisado: 02-15-07
This book is interesting up to a point and the naration is very good. However, since it seems to present only one very negative view with little skepticism I eventually found it tiresome. IT IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE OR 2 CREDITS THAT WILL BE CHARGED TO YOUR ACCOUNT.

Historia
Many people have difficulty figuring out the difference between science, borderline science, and just plain nonsense. When is a theory a fact, and when is it just conjecture? Michael Shermer, a leading science author and skeptic, divides knowledge into three classes: science, based on factual evidence; borderline science, based on scientific conjecture; and nonsense, where anything goes (e.g., Bigfoot).

Tedious
Revisado: 12-06-06
Intersting but gets very tedious particularly as relates to Darwin. More of a description of how ideas evolve in the scientific world than a revealation of false ideas and semi-science. Couldn't wait for it to be over.
