I LOVED this story!!! I was initially hesitant to listen at first thinking this was a typical slave story, but it is NOT!!! Kudos to Joan for such an amazingly written story. Jakobi Diem performed the hell out of the book!!! I don't know if this story is going to TV or the big screen, but I'm here for ALL OF IT!!!!

Adenerele's range as a narrator is SUPERB!!! And there are not words in the English language to describe Jakobi's narration skills!!!! You will not be disappointed with this book or ANYTHING by Alexandria House!!!

I didn't like the way this book started & I almost turned it off, but I've heard so much about it I continued to listen.
I'm so glad that I did!!!! This book was ABSOLUTE FIRE!!!!!! It didn't end like I thought it would for a character or two, so maybe we can get an Unfortunately Francine 2!!!!
Jakobi Diem & Nicole Small narrated the HELL out of this book!!! I'm NEVER disappointed with Jakobi & Nicole!!!
