This book was so encouraging. Beyond encouraging.

I honestly had pre-judged Demi as a typical beauty contestant who lucked out in marrying Tim Tebow.

But man, was I WRONG! Her story, her compassion, her love for the Lord come through in every page. More than anything, she is a genuinely kind person. Her transparency in sharing about the loss of her sister was so touching.

Make sure to listen to the very end where her and Tim interview each other. Beautiful couple!

My favorite in the series!

I loved this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The ending was the most satisfying ending of the entire series. It made me tear up.

Sloooowwwww plot line

Lisa Wingate is one of my favorite authors & her Daily, Texas series is my absolute favorite series! I've read it twice.

HOWEVER, this book seems like it was not written by her at all.

I kept waiting for the story line to pick up-it never did. It was like trying to get through the slowest episode of the Walton's series.

Would not recommend to any under 60 year old. (I'm 40.)

Amazing piece of unknown history!

I absolutely love history & had never heard of the former slaves' struggles to be reconnected to their families after the end of the Civil war.

My dad's family is Cajun and from southern LA, so I loved the setting of this tale.

At first, the story didn't make any sense to me because of the switching between stories/time periods/narrators. But hold on..it will all come together beautifully.

I'm sad that the story is over and can't stop thinking about it.

Lisa Wingate is a BEYOND talented master story teller. Her books are my absolute favorites.

Book #2 in the Daily, TX series is amazing!
I love laughing along at the quirky Texas characters.
I was so happy that this book in the series connected so beautifully with book #1 in the series.
Can’t wait to listen to book #3. I know I’ll be sad when it’s over.

Heartfelt and moving

What a beautiful memoir/autobiography. I absolutely loved that Beth read this herself.

I am a person who has done a couple of Beth Moore Bible studies and was SHOCKED when she came out against Trump. I read this book in hopes that she would explain that she still loves Jesus and has not began to fall away from the faith. She hasn’t. She still loves Jesus with her whole heart.

She explains why she came out against Trump. After hearing her story of sexual abuse against her father in this book, it seems that she simply projected all of her father’s crimes against her onto Trump. I still do not agree with her reasons and the division that her voicing her opinion caused in the Church. However, I understand it more.

If I would encourage the reader to learn anything from this book it would be to encourage your daughters to marry a man who they are equally yoked with. She shares her and her husband’s incredibly difficult marriage journey…and all of their problems boiled down to the faith that she loves Jesus with all of her heart & he is a very nominal Catholic. I admire her so for staying true to him and to Jesus despite the fact that she’s basically done it all alone.
