Historia
The world that Tamsin knows is on the brink of disaster. Her kinswomen have been found. Their sanctuary lies open for plunder, their military strength weakened by treachery. Poised to besiege them are the Vikings and Albans, joined together in a frightful alliance. But Tamsin has already made a crack in that alliance. After plotting the murder of her husband, she and her unlikely ally, Thrain Mordsson, must face the consequences together. The King of all Alba sends them on a perilous mission to make amends for their crime.

I couldn’t stop listening.
Revisado: 03-12-25
Great narration, and writing. You find so many RH books that you can barely stand the quality of the writing. They seem so juvenile and unintelligent. The author immersed me right in the 9th century world and the characters. The characters are complex and you fall in love with them with all of their character flaws. For someone who has never read a book with M/M sex I was eased into it gently with an understanding of why it was a way to ease the “Rut”. The spice rating I would give would be 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. The story mirrors the subjugation that women have experienced for millennia, and how the feared heathen Vikings help her to find her power. The men are strong masculine warriors with a tender side for their lovers. I absolutely loved it and devoured all three books that are available so far. I can’t wait for the 4th installment to come.

Historia
Thalia Lyndhoven, until recently, was a Pack Princess. Not exactly spoiled, she was barely tolerated by anyone in her family, until an Elder came along and told her fathers, the leaders of the North American Pack, that she was at the center of a prophecy. Along the way, she's found her three mates, learned of the existence of three new races, and has discovered that the Devil is real, and his name isn't Lucifer, but Vulcun, and he doesn't have a tail or horns.

Good story-but make narrators voices
Revisado: 10-18-23
So the male narrator regular voice was fine, but his female voice and Theo’s voice was so hard to listen to. I like it when the female narrator does all the female voices and the male does the male voices. It is less distracting that way.

Historia
Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.

Story was sweet, but the narrator
Revisado: 12-01-22
I couldn’t stand the male voices from this narrator. She made them sound like they were all villains.
