Historia
Thanks to house tamer Hulda Larkin, the mischief infesting Whimbrel House has calmed. But if Hulda’s job is done, what does that mean for Merritt Fernsby, inheritor of the remote Narragansett Bay estate, who’s only now coming to terms with his enchanted place in the world? Merritt has realized his own burgeoning powers, which draw the thoughts of every plant, insect, and dog. His nights are sleepless, with an uncontrollable cacophony of voices that compel a long-overdue search into his uncanny bloodline. It’s not the only puzzle uniting Merritt and his ex-housekeeper, Hulda.

Better than the first book, seriously loved this book. All of the books set in this world are amazing. But Stephanie why do you gotta do me dirty like that, this book was suppose to end the story, I was all excited to know what happens, to know the ending and now I have to wait an unknown amount of time to finally know how it ends 😫 and on a cliff hanger no less 😫

I am taking one star off becuase I am still not over one course of events and I may never forgive the author for it. Otherwise good story if not confusing at times.

Historia
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Historia
The orphaned Elsie Camden learned as a girl that there were two kinds of wizards in the world: those who pay for the power to cast spells and those, like her, born with the ability to break them. But as an unlicensed magic user, her gift is a crime. Commissioned by an underground group known as the Cowls, Elsie uses her spellbreaking to push back against the aristocrats and help the common man. Elite magic user Bacchus Kelsey is one elusive spell away from his mastership when he catches Elsie breaking an enchantment. To protect her secret, Elsie strikes a bargain.

Love/Hate
Revisado: 08-26-20
I hated most of the book. I really really really struggled to finish it.. At the beginning she is a self absorbed teenager (as most are) and spoiled but still doesn't deserve what happens next. Then rape culture-esque story made me cringe. My heart ached for Smitha and her descent into blaming herself for turning down a man and then him cursing her for it like she didn't have the right to tell him no. She was just a young girl who needed to do some maturing she wasn't evil. I only give it two stars becuase it has a happy ending and by the end of the story I adore Smitha plus I like the characters from the Southlands.

Historia
It's Christmas at St Mary's and time for the traditional illicit jump. Except this one is perfectly legal. It's Major Guthrie's last jump. To the Battle of Bannockburn, no less. An important moment in history for two nations - one that warrants everyone's full attention. But Max soon finds herself grappling with a near-lethal game of pooh sticks, another avian incursion and two turbulent teenagers intent on piloting their own illegal jump. And that's all before they even get near 14th-century Scotland. For this is St Mary's, and nothing is ever simple.

uhmmmm mixed feelings
Revisado: 02-13-20
The premise of the story is really interesting. I think I would have really loved this book if it focused more on learning about her family's history then her promiscuous nature. To be fair a lot of the time when I read romance novels I feel this way though, I think romance is not my thing for reading material. I never mind a little side story of romance but I always find it as the main purpose to be hollow and disappointing. (lol I sound like a bitter heart broken old lady or something, haha I am not just find other things more exciting) All this to say I may read the next novel to see if now that the initial love story is over if the storyline gets more intriguing to me.
