The necromancers have finally resumed their assault on the Allied Lands, sending a mighty army across the Desert of Death and into the Kingdom of Tarsier. Countless farms, villages, and towns have already been destroyed as the host makes its way northwards, striking deep into the kingdom's most vulnerable lands. Hundreds of thousands have been killed, thousands more will be killed when they are sacrificed for power. If the necromancers win the coming battle, it may be the beginning of the end.

Historia
Dalinar Kholin's Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost. The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.

story jumps one group of characters to another
Revisado: 12-16-17
in the First and Second books Kaladin Stormblessed was I believe the main character, as a large portion of the books focused on him, and his becoming a radiant. however in this third book that character role seems to have dwindled nearly into obscurity, when I was hoping to learn more of his plight and how he would effect the outcome of the story, I'm nearly at the end of the book and their has been little action and mostly discussion. drowning on and on about the spren. and constant wining on both sides of the struggling factions!

Cant wait for the next book in the series.
Revisado: 12-12-17
In a world ware the place you are born dictates what power you might possess, the main character is born off world. the characters in the book are well developed, and the voice actor does a good job with the character voices. the writer did a good job holding me in suspense and wanting more. and fortunately the book tho leaving me wanting more I at least gave me some closer making the wait for the next book too arrive a little easier. no slap in the face cliff hanger at the end.

Historia
Elaine is an orphan girl who has grown up in a world where magical ability brings power. Her limited talent was enough to ensure a magical training, but she's very inexperienced and was lucky to get a position working in the Great Library. Now, the Grand Sorcerer - the most powerful magician of them all - is dying, although initially that makes little difference to Elaine; she certainly doesn't have the power to compete for higher status in the Golden City. But all that changes when she triggers a magical trap....

Not for teenagers
Revisado: 11-24-17
descriptive sexual encounters, I would not recommend this book to my nieces or nephews, the performer/Reader is easy to listen to, and the book has a good flow and their is enough intrigue to keep you listening to the story. and there were some unexpected twists in the story, that make me want to find out how the story turns out! but defiantly not for teens. Personally I do not think that the detailed descriptions of the main characters sexual encounters did any thing for the over all story, other then show her morally ambiguous nature. I Absolutely love the Schooled in Magic Series, which is easily Teen Worthy, which makes the first book in this Bookworm series some what disappointing as I was hoping it would be as good and at the same time be a book I could recommend to everyone including my Nieces and Nephews who also enjoy this Genre.

Historia
Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Not for teenagers
Revisado: 11-13-17
This series is well written, the story is Fascinating, it has all the captivation of Dragons and trolls, monsters, and an insurmountable foe, the main characters are likable despite their more base morality, so far I'm on book 4 and I've not encountered any of the characters engaging in any actual meaning full or even monogamous relationships. the characters are however are well developed, Their are a few mildly descriptive sexual encounters portrayed in all of the book including a three way sexual encounter in the 4th book. Which is why I would not recommend this book Too Teens, or PreTeens. the Voice actor does an excellent job, and is easy to listen to.

opens at the end of the book
Revisado: 10-13-17
I've never been a fan of books which start off fast forwarded to the future, This books starts of in the future with the main character in dire straits. Then drags you into the past so your forced to dredge through all the events that came before. Its like reading the second to last chapter of a mystery book and then returning to the beginning of the book too spend days only to get back where you are left off, and you do so with the hope that the ending is worth the adventure which you have now lived through twice. I truly loved the first 4 books in the series, but I have to say that this one did not live up to it's predecessors.

great book but not for teens
Revisado: 02-26-16
Would you listen to Magic Strikes again? Why?
yes, the writer provides an engaging story, and the reader does not distract from the story and does a good job with voices.
Any additional comments?
the only reason I would not give this book 5 stars all across is because it is not written for all audiences, as the series progresses the sex scenes become more graphic. defiantly not for teens.I think that the writer does herself a disservice by limiting her audience. It would be like the twilight series in that it has shapeshifters and magic vampires although the vampires are mindless puppets.

Time has passed since the apprentice and his master, Will and Halt, led the Araluens to victory against invaders, and Will is now a full-fledged Ranger with his own fief to look after. The fief seems sleepy - boring, even - until the king is poisoned. Joined by his friend Alyss, Will is thrown headfirst into an extraordinary adventure propelled by fears of sorcery, and must determine who is trustworthy to the king and who is trying to take his throne.
