Ann Einerson is my new favorite writer! With this series, she has created a small town to big city family you will want to spend time with to get to know them better. Ann writes characters that epitomize romance.

Get Ready to Fall for These Characters!

This book was absolutely delightful! It tells the story of a boy whose idealization of his uncle's role in WWII becomes the impetus for a major motion picture and the very real, very human man who was his unwitting subject. Along the way, you will meet the talented people who make the movie come to life in a way that will make you feel like you are along for the ride: scouting set locations, hiring (and firing) actors, putting up sets, and somehow making a hundred different moving parts come together to bring this art form to life. The cherry on top is that this book is narrated by Tom Hanks (who could read a car manual and make it sound compelling) as well as a cast of other talented voice actors. Don't miss this one!

Have the Tissues Handy

This book underscores why Natasha Madison is one of the all time greats of romantic fiction. Once again, she has created characters that are flawed but not weak and a large extended family that continues to show how important unconditional love and support are. You will root for Dylan and Alex as they prove again and again that people come into our lives for a reason.

Ruined by Horrible Narration

Unfortunately, this is another case of a cute story ruined by bad narration. It sounds as if Meghan Kelly is reading the story for the first time. Even worse, she assumes a whiny tone throughout that makes you actually dislike the main character. No one wants to spend two hours with someone who sounds that miserable.

An Amazing Book

This is the best book I've listened to in a very long time! The characters are so charming and their stories are so entertaining that I was sorry to say goodbye to them. I loved the very real details of anxiety/ introverted personality that were handled in a positive, and sometimes funny way. I would LOVE to have a sequel! In any case, I am a new fan of Amy E. Reichert and hope to read many more of her books.

Lackluster Narration

Both narrators sound tired and uninterested. The story itself could have been fun, but the bad narration made it anything but.

Female Narrator Makes this a Difficult Listen

I enjoyed getting to continue following the characters in this series, and Claire Kingsley is a great storyteller. However, the female narrator sounds almost exactly like the voice on the Alexa device so when she reads for Kendra and Weston, they come across in a lackluster, robotic way. It made it difficult to feel the attraction between the pair.

Not Worth the Credit

As much as I love the author and this series, the intermix of children dying and romance was a huge miss for me. I missed the humor and sexy character development from the previous books.

Meandering

The unnecessary dialogue, and a meandering, back and forth story line caused me to quickly lose interest. The narrator makes the characters sound flighty and ridiculous.

Fantastic Book!

The romantic tension between the couple is wonderfully crafted! Their story was exciting from page one. Mia Vincy writes at the sophisticated level of the greats!
