Historia
If driving a piece-of-crap tow truck through the seediest part of town with a Smith & Wesson beside her means putting a roof over her son’s head, then Samantha Jones is going to be the best damn repo woman on the books. The streetwalkers, the drug pushers, the bands of looking-for-trouble punks haunting the mean streets at midnight don’t intimidate her. These are her people. The guy she finds bound and bloodied in the trunk of her latest conquest, a flashy new BMW, is a different breed entirely.

It was predictable and so silly. I wish I hadn’t spent a credit. Let’s say something positive. The narrator was good.

Passable

This is another multitasking book. I do like the narrator who is familiar to me from another sci-fi series. I’m only entering this review because audible no longer lets you give just stars but is requiring words too.

Any woman caught in his presence was immediately ruined. Yet Beth found herself inexorably drawn to the Scottish lord whose hint of a brogue wrapped around her like silk and whose touch could draw her into a world of ecstasy.

Well, the ending was satisfying
Revisado: 04-12-13
I just did not "buy" this story from the very beginning... I'm all about suspending belief but this was a bit much for me... it seemed like the story was secondary to the sex scenes.. and it's not my personal preference. The narration was fine. However, the last two hours or so of the book were great. I really enjoyed the ending. It was very satisfying. I won't be downloading the other books in this series though. Not my thang.

Why did I wait so long...
Revisado: 04-07-13
This book has been hanging out in my library for a year... what was I thinking?? I loved it! All of it! and can't wait to listen to the next book in the series. The Heroine, Michael, as she likes to be called, is so different than characters you normally read about. I didn't so much like her in the beginning but as the author shows you why she is the way she is I began to really root for her. By the end of the book I was a Vanessa/Michael fan! This book builds to a crescendo and leaves you with a very satisfying ending - all while trying to figure out who is the leak. Great listen. You won't waste your credit here.
Oh! And Hilary Huber did a fantastic job of narrating... simply wonderful.

Historia
Lady Philippa Marbury is...odd. The brilliant, bespectacled daughter of a double marquess cares more for books than balls, for science than the season, and for laboratories than love. She's looking forward to marrying her simple fiancé and living out her days quietly with her dogs and her scientific experiments. But before that, Pippa has two weeks to experience all the rest - 14 days to research the exciting parts of life. It's not much time, and to do it right she needs a guide familiar with London's darker corners.

It Had It's Moments...
Revisado: 03-31-13
I have to remember that I don't like this narrator.. personal preference kind of thing.. I just do not care for the voice she uses for the Hero in her narration.. ugh.. so I'm sure that influenced my feelings about the book in total... I like quirky so I especially liked the heroine of this book - total quirky!... Sarah MacLean did a good job of making me care what happened to her and to our Hero. I would have liked a bit more action and a little less talk or description but again, a personal preference. The story was creative and entertaining as our nerdy Heroine seeks to do her research on what's expected on her wedding night. Unfortunately (and somewhat unbelievably), she choose a rogue and scoundrel to find her answers. This was a bit of a stretch but I suspended my disbelief and went with it... and I'm glad I did. The book was entertaining with a satisfying ending.

Easy Fluffy Listen
Revisado: 03-26-13
Sometimes you just need a fluff book... this would be that book.. some lighthearted, fun moments... and the narrator is awesome. Yes, it's predictable. No, you're not going to be surprised. The romance is sweet and you can listen to this one with you daughter because it's clean and just.. well.. fun. The story follows a frustrated 20-somthing who's dissatisfied with her life and makes big plans to leave until her plans are interrupted by, you guessed it, a little night magic. We follow the herione as she learns about her powers and figures out who to trust and who not to trust. In the end, she has to chose whether to sacrifice herself for her little town full of people she loves.. or is there another way she can protect them?? If this one is on sale? Buy it, but I wouldn't spend a full credit on it.
