Historia
When Taj sets a trap to catch his parents pretending to be the Tooth Fairy, he finds the real Tooth Fairy fried by the wire he’d connected to a couple nine-volt batteries. Instead of spending his summer vacation building robots and taking it easy, he’s pretending to fit in with kids who practically worship the holiday seasons. His only hope to return to normal life is to find a way to fit in, or discover who kidnapped the Tooth Fairy and bring them to justice....

New and Unexpected
Revisado: 02-22-21
This story was not what I expected going in. I was pleasantly surprised, though. Mikey takes tropes and revisits them in a ways that'll make you smile and think. I will say that there is there dad-iest of dad characters I've read/listened to yet.
Speaking of listening: the narrator gives a top-notch performance. Different characters have distinct voices *and* characteristics. Very good range from a single actor.
Give it a shot. I'm glad I did.

Historia
Thirteen-year-old Talon is in trouble...again. He didn’t mean to burn down the school library. It just happened. Things like that always happen to Talon. His life is a mixture of the weird and bizarre. No one else he knows can shoot fire from their hands or cause an earthquake...but he can. Every night the same dream haunts Talon: the destruction of an underwater city. He hasn’t a clue what it means but he feels like fate is trying to warn him.

A Tale that Grows
Revisado: 02-18-19
Starting off it seemed your standard YA adventure with the brother/sister combo that go on and adventure. I was initially put off by some of the narrator's impressions (something you'd not encounter in the print version) and wasn't quite hooked for the first hour or so.
Once you're halfway through it really opens up and becomes a compelling tale. As the story progresses the payoff gets better so if you are uncertain about your time spent, keep going at it and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
