Viktor E. Frankl was a medical doctor at a psychiatric hospital in 1942 when he became a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps in World War II. In 1946, he published this book about his camp experiences and a method of psychotherapy he developed. Forty-five years later, it was still named one of the most influential books in the United States. Part One describes his three years in four Nazi concentration camps, which took the lives of his wife, father, mother, and brother. He closely observed inmates’ reactions to their situation, as well as how survivors came to terms with their liberation.

Always a great listen

This is a book that I have read and listened to multiple times. I was excited when I saw it had been redone. Sometimes a new voice brings something new to the book. This did just that. This was the first book narrated by Theo Solomon that I had listened to and I will definitely keep my ear out for other titles narrated by this narrator.

Phenomenal cast and a great book

This book had it all, for me and I did not want to put it down. When I finished I immediately wanted to listen all over again. Rebecca Quinn wrote a great book and the way the narrators brought the characters to life was nothing short of amazing. Avery, Sebastian, Joe, Teddy, J.F. and Jason were perfectly cast. I fell in love with them all. Shout out to Ron for the engineering. The way he brought my favorite voices together was brilliant. Blue Nose Audio pulled so much talent together to create such beautiful magic for this book.
