cuz I'm just saying -- from the start, it seemed that I had read this story before...and maybe before that one too 🙃

saying it another way-

I've never read this book and Zero tension was built. Kept predicting the plot lines.
Not what I'm looking for in the Mystery/Suspense category


I admit that there are a few things/characters, that I am slightly curious about so I may finish at some point

Absolutely worth a credit

Caroline Lee connects me to the characters in Moriarty's novels so well... Every character is enriched by her lovely accent and expressions which seem to have no boundaries of age or gender.

This was not my favorite LM novel but well worth the credit.

I'm captured by the strength and vulnerabilities of each character she creates and.how our differences can lead us to be judgemental or protective of a person. ... so much I enjoy about her writing

Why I absolutely love her novels is the mystery/mysteries that she builds up between the characters and main "event" of each book.
Keeps me guessing throughout and unable to stop listening no matter how much I'd like to savor the book for at least a week! Can't do it

Relaxing and Reassuring

When struggling to fall asleep, this is my go to. I try and stay awake so I can then call on the promises when in a slump or encouraging a friend....its quite sedating though.
The quality is not the best. I've noticed several little breaks/skips in the recording.
Slightly annoying but not bad enough to keep me from falling asleep!!

The narrator does have a nice voice. I'd purchase mindful meditation cd or lullabies with his narration in a heartbeat.
I just could not stay focused long enough to learn a single thing. The topic grabbed my attention and I tried...really hard, to follow along.
I'm back in Plant Biology at university... Why oh why didn't I drop this class!? Why am I trying so hard to read this book - masochism ?

LIFE CHANGING

I started going through this book, with the idea that I'd use it to get back in the habit of praying daily. There was also a desire to focus on gratitude, in spite of... difficulties...
It's been about a year...or is it two now, that I've been using this book, nearly every day, as part of my morning routine.
In that time, there have been many positive changes in my life, most notably, my outlook. Much credit is due to the daily practice of praying with gratitude. I have JOY! This joy I have, has been absent since childhood. I've been searching for it EVERYWHERE since then.

This book is well written and the narration is absolutely perfect.
The daily prayers are short enough to get through, without my mind wondering. And when it does, I just rewind 30 seconds...

Some days, I think that the topic is not applicable to my needs at the moment. However, as I finish, I feel closer to God and in the right place to begin my day.

Everyone close to me has expressed seeing a change in me. While not entirely because of this book, much (graditude:) is due.

Poor choice for Narration

I just can’t understand why they chose Carolyn McKormick??? Her voice is very mature and precise... hard for me to describe. She almost sounds emotionless or robotic. The book is written in the voice of Katniss, who is a teenager!! I think this was the second book I bought after joining “Audible”. My son and I were listening to it together, but, he gave up the first night. I have gone back to it several times since then, only turn it off again after a few pages. I enjoyed the hardcopies of the series so it's not the story I don't like. Carolyn McKormick is not to blame. But, whoever chose her... I don't get it!!
