Chauvinism
Revisado: 02-04-25
Topical, well written, narration is tedious(sorry). The chauvinistic bent is hard to ignore..MEN save the day while women fall to pieces😣…please..stop!!
Maybe the characters will develop to become less stereotypical of a male’s rendition of ‘roles’. Maybe the nausea will resolve.
It gets a response though and that shows contact with the reading audience.

Historia
A startling crime with dozens of victims. Appearing out of nowhere to horrify the quiet resort town of Sanibel Island, Florida, dozens of identical, ordinary-looking shoes float in on the tide and are washed up on the tropical beach—each one with a crudely severed human foot inside.

Hiatus
Revisado: 08-28-21
After a hiatus from reading the antics of Agent Pendergast, and the sad loss of Rene Auberjonois. It is a pleasure to listen to Crooked River as narrated by Jefferson Mays.
The story, though slightly less intricate than usual, was performed, in my humble opinion to perfection. I was engaged from start to finish and enjoyed the further development of each character.
I particularly want to say thank- you to Mr Mays for capturing the essence of Pendergasts’ character and expanding on these well loved base traits as of course written by two talented authors . Well done and again, thank-you.
