I shouldn't have remembered him. He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn't know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all. But I could feel him. The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated.

Feeling swoony!
Revisado: 03-23-17
Loved it! The story was fantastic and the characters were wonderful. I'll definitely be reading more Tijan in the future (starting now)! That being said, the narrators were mostly pretty good but had a couple of misses. Carter Reed's voice needs A LOT of work. He didn't sound powerful, foreboding, or manly in any way. It was kind of disappointing. Nonetheless, I loved the book!

Historia
Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague's fiancé drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University. She didn't plan on attending a masquerade party. She sure didn't plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago - the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos.

Great narrators, pretty good story
Revisado: 03-17-17
This book had me torn. Dax and Remi had phenomenal chemistry and in the beginning, the buildup was fantastic! But towards the middle, there was way too much pushing away, denial, an EXTREME lack of communication, an INCREDIBLE amount of egotism, mind games galore, and the desperate need for someone to grow a backbone! Seriously! Remi was way too codependent, she couldn't make a decision or be confident except during a few precious moments with Dax. It drove me BANANAS!
Yes, there were times when I wanted to throat punch them both, but, when they were together they were explosive...and in a good way! So I'm torn. I never, at any point, wanted to give up on this book. I loved it but sometimes the characters drove me a little wonko.
Let me talk about what I loved. I loved all the little details. Things that most people wouldn't pick up on unless they had been to England. For example, donor kebabs. Love Them! So delicious! It's totally true that they are a drunk food. Coming out of the club after closing it down to hit the food trucks is the best! Also, getting food to go. The Brits ask, "is that for takeaway?" Instead of calling it carry out or a to go order. It's the little things that delighted me with this book beyond commonly known terms like, the "loo", which is actually, in my experience, more frequently called the "water closet".
All-in-all, I more than just liked Filthy English but I also didn't head-over-heels love it so it's getting a solid 4 stars.

Anything But Minor
If a hot guy on the cover does it for you, Read This Book! If a hot guy on the cover doesn't do it for you, READ THIS BOOK! Lisa Zimmerman does a fantastic job of narrating the story and her voices, characters, inflection...it was all perfect!
Seriously though, I have never experienced so many laugh-out-loud moments so early in a book, not to mention all the moments that consistently took place throughout the rest of the book. This book was AMAZING!
Alice. Is. Hilarious! She's a little geeky (not really) and totally laid back. She's fun and enjoys life despite her downtrodden upbringing. She frequently finds herself in the most awkward of situations that leave you with your eyes popping out, shaking with uncontrollable laughter. I. Love. This. Book!
As crazy, awkward, and funny as Alice was, that's how delicious and wonderful Rafe was. He's not only a super talented beefcake but he also has a beautiful heart. <sigh> I love Rafe. He's my new book boyfriend even though he was a little jerky at first. In order to avoid spoilers, I'll stop there but do yourself a favor and read/listen to this book. It's incredible!

Historia
Protecting her should be easy for a man like me. When assigned as a bodyguard for Adriana Bertoli, I knew I was in for a world of trouble. With her fiery-red hair, sparkling green eyes, milky white skin, and lush, curvaceous body, she's a damn knockout. But she also happens to be the niece of one of the most powerful mob bosses in the Seattle-Tacoma area, Don Carlo - my boss. And he's made it clear that none of his men are to lay a finger on Adriana.

Great story...if you read it on your own.
Revisado: 03-05-17
I really enjoyed Adriana and Daniel's story. It didn't knock my socks off but it was sweet. It had an element of danger and a forbidden love that grew with Ade and Dan through childhood but if you had a mob boss know to make good on his threats giving you rules to live or die by, would you violate them? The thing I disliked most was Emma Lysy's narration. She gave the characters awful voices, making them sound like complete emotionless snobs or like they had a perpetual head cold! In the beginning there's a murder that has a big emotional impact on Adriana but you never hear it or experience it in her voice or how she carries herself. Avoid Emma's rendition of Adriana and Dan's love scenes too because she's so detached, it ruins them. Just terrible!! Emma needs to work on her emotional inflection in her voice when reading because she is not good!
"I'm Ron Burgandy?" Punctuation has meaning so don't end a non-question with a dang question in your voice! Thank goodness I had the kindle version so I could get rid of Emma's voice! I listen to A LOT of ebooks and there has only been one other narrator who is as bad as Emma Lysy.
Read this one yourself if you want to do it any justice...

Feeling Bittersweet
Revisado: 08-24-16
This was the perfect ending to Calla and Chase's story. Then again, is it really the end? ;) We know Rachel Morgan has more in store for Creepy Hollow so I have no doubt that we'll be seeing more of Calla and Chase as well as Ryn and Violet.
I have been waiting anxiously for this book and disappointing it was not! I hung on every word, desperate for what would come next. I love how all the previous Creepy Hollow story lines further enriched this story, including the novellas and I can't wait to read Perry's short story next! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!! The entire Creepy Hollow series is easily a 10!
