I have mixed feelings on this.. The story between Shane and Avery is good... But the fact that they falsely accused him of rape, and just keep sweeping it under the rug, like it was no big deal and he has no reason to be mad, really pi$$3d me off.. I also hated the fact that Avery went to him and asked for help, so if she and her mom think he's shady, why not just stay away from him.. She approached him for help..

I love a book that makes you feel what the characters are feeling!! I cried for Abbey, all of her suffering and pain.. I also cheered for her, her strength and persevere was just unmatched. I loved this book, I stayed up until 2:30 am finishing it, because it was that good!!! 5 stars!!!!

I wasn't sure I'd listen to this 2nd book, and after only getting 10 chapters in I quit!!!! I hate what a hypocrite Skylar is.. Spoiler Warning... The complete nerve of her to berate him for wanting to help her, and for the secrets he kept, all the while knowing she killed their child was keeping it from him, was WRONG.. There is nothing worse than a hypocrite/liar....I'm done with this story....

I love a good angsty love story as much as the next person.. that said I really hate stories that are angsty back and forth for no reason. I almost stopped listening to the last 2 chapters because I was so frustrated with Skylar and her push pull nonsense. Call him to meet up, just to be mean and hurtful, when all he wanted to do was love her. I'm not sure I will even continue the series if 30 more hrs of this are what I have in store...

I don't understand why soooooo many authors insist on writing women characters as big dummies.. Example: Shootout, they tell her to take cover and get into the car, she jumps out into the open. He tells her don't go off by herself, and she continually goes off by herself. No man like Carter would deal with a dumb chick who NEVER listens... I had to turn it off...
