Historia
Geralt of Rivia is a Witcher, a man whose magic powers and lifelong training have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin. Yet he is no ordinary killer: he hunts the vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. But not everything monstrous-looking is evil; not everything fair is good...and in every fairy tale there is a grain of truth.

Excellent narration, a few good stories

I liked some of the stories but some were just boring. I like the humour a lot. The best thing about this audiobook is the narration.

Very practical, recommended for first time parents
Revisado: 01-14-21
I am pregnant with my first child and have no experience caring for a baby so I was looking for a book to give me an idea of how things will be. This book was exactly that. The advice is sensible and does not push any one philosophy. The book takes too long talking about pregnancy and birth which I did not find useful at all. The actual newborn informstarts at chapter 12. The narration is very bad! Sounds like a computer voice with unnatural pauses and moving to next topic withought any pause.

Not a good practice book
Revisado: 12-16-20
There is no clue as to where in the book you can find a certain information. For example, she talks about how surge breathing is done once and then she just says do your surge breathing.. now I can't find where it was taught

Interesting cases but too much crying
Revisado: 10-18-18
It's fun to get into people's lives but this is a bit too emotional. I would have preferred more positive stories.

Historia
A revelatory and entertaining book about the pitfalls of how we measure our economy and how to correct them, by an award-winning editor of The Financial Times. According to GDP, the economy is in a golden era: economic growth has risen steadily over the past 70 years and shows no sign of stopping. But if this is the case, why are we living in such fractured times, with global populism on the rise and wealth inequality as stark as ever?

An excellent education in economy without being bi
Revisado: 10-18-18
This book is the best thing you can read if you want to understand why economy works as it does now. Very well written, simplifying GDP and what it actually means for our societies. I recommend it very much.

Boring story, full of cliches
Revisado: 08-02-18
This was such a disappointment. I have read some fantasy series before with various degrees of satisfaction but this one was just bad. Characters are so unrelatable, no real tension as you know who will come out just fine. the story is just so cliche, we have all heard it before. I regret not reading A Song of Ice and Fire again instead! The narrator has a nice voice but the performance is too dramatic. It seems like she is on verge of crying all of the time. I do not recommend this book unless you have never read any stories before, then you might enjoy all the cliches it is pulling.

You get one thing out of this: insight
Revisado: 06-08-17
Very much the continuation of his other book the Sapiens, Harrari takes you from the realm of what was to what could be. Even though it's filled with facts and descriptions of scientific experiments, the main frame is very much a story. With a captivating language the author takes you to think about very fundamental issues while being utterly entertained. This is a story worth your time in this age of rapid changes and mindless trends.

Eye opening
Revisado: 05-15-17
Explained many things well beyond what knowledge can explain. Indeed I knew a lot of the information even experiments described here, however Lotto put that knowledge in an understandable framework. Loved chapter 9 and the role of conflict. Also his way of looking into creativity at companies was quite interesting. I recommend this book to both Neuroscientists and everyone curious about their own curiosity!
