Historia
A gripping retelling of sexual abuse, adventures backpacking through India, a difficult marriage, tales from behind the prison fence, and the rebirth through doing hard things in beautiful places. The poetic nuances invite the listener to live inside an anguished mind as it thrashes from trauma to triumph, and how one woman used her pain as a source of strength and to become an ultramarathon runner.

Awesome book, with a powerful message.
Revisado: 11-14-24
After knowing Brigan for a couple of years prior to reading her book, I had no idea about her past. Only little blitz that would come up in conversations sometimes.. I knew she was a very strong person but now I have context.
Highly recommend even if you don’t know her, it’s a story of trials and tribulations into where she comes out on top and find strength along the way.

Historia
He was a gentle dreamer whose genial bearded visage was recognized around the world, but most people got to know him only through the iconic characters born of his fertile imagination: Kermit the Frog, Bert and Ernie, Miss Piggy, Big Bird. The Muppets made Jim Henson a household name, but they were just part of his remarkable story.

Historia
With the failure of Hadley's Hope, Weyland-Yutani has suffered a devastating setback - the loss of the Aliens they aggressively sought to exploit. Yet there's a reason the Company has risen to the top of the food chain. True to form, they have a redundancy already in place: the facility known as "The Cold Forge". Remote station RB-232 has become their greatest asset in weaponizing the Xenomorphs. However, when Dorian Sudler is sent to RB-232 to assess their progress, he discovers that there's a spy aboard - someone who doesn't necessarily act in the company's best interests.

Historia
As a child Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating - and waiting for suitable prey.

The story is meh.
Revisado: 01-08-24
The story is very irrelevant, it’s supposed to take place between alien and aliens but it doesn’t make any sense because Ripely would have said something in Aliens about a second encounter with the xenomorphs. I also just found the story not very compelling. Ripely didn’t seem like the actual character that we all know and love. There’s no way Ash could “upload” himself into Mother and control not only her ship but other ships as well. Also they killed the aliens as if they were nothing. They single handily killed a young queen with minimal effort. I am a huge Aliens fan but this story just wasn’t easy to digest. Props to the reader though, if it wasn’t for him I’m not sure I would have even finished this book.

Inconsistency…
Revisado: 12-23-23
Spider-Man’s spider sense isn’t affected my the venom and carnage symbiote but in this story, Carnage is setting off his spider sense left and right which doesn’t make any sense. It’s like the writers of the story don’t even know anything about carnage. Performance of the read was good! Other than my nerd rant, it was worth listening to.
