I have never listened to an audio book. I was wasting time on social media and came across a post by Tab's good friends Kev On Stage and his lovely wife. They'd purchased 25 of her books to give away. A wonderful gesture of support. I immediately went to Amazon to purchase the book, "just because."
I just wanted to support her. I listened to the audio sample. It was 2 am. I purchased my very first audible book after God-knows-how-many years of being an Amazon customer. I almost finished listening to it before I crashed. I only had two hours left to finish.
Later that morning I called my young adult son ecstatic about the book and my Audible experience. I had no idea about her story. I could have easily written this book about me. I related to every syllable. She literally spoke exact words and mantras that I use. For example, I too, feel the same way she does about religion versus spirituality and know exactly what she means about some of our churches and their "teachings". I also believe "forgiveness is for me", not the one you're forgiving.
I needed this, at this time, and I wasn't looking for it. Divine Intervention. My son needs it, too. So, I Gifted it to him.
This is a phenomenal story. It will probably get gifted to many more by me. I am uber excited about listening to more books. I'm old school and just love books! I was so excited to realize that I can read more like I've wanted to because I can listen while I work or walk, and replace some of the TV I watch.
I didn't even realize I had books in my audible library. 🤦♀️
