Oh, sorry Danielle. I know many people love you, but I found this book to be predictable and dull. And why is this story, which is mainly about a woman, narrated by a man? A man who sounds like he would be a great high school scientist video narrator.

Historia
From the glamorous to the entitled, from royalty to the financially ruined, everyone who wanted to be seen—or just to gawk—at the hottest restaurants in New York City came to places Michael Cecchi-Azzolina helped run. His phone number was passed around among those who wanted to curry favor, during the decades when restaurants replaced clubs and theater as, well, theater in the most visible, vibrant city in the world. Besides dropping us back into a vanished time, Your Table Is Ready takes us places we’d never be able to get into on our own.

Historia
Imagine a 1980s world of sumptuous hotel rooms, restaurants, New York City penthouses, and the powerful men who move easily between these pinnacles of luxury. They are music producers, rock stars, writers, and restaurateurs. They are household names like Billy Joel, Art Garfunkel, Eric Clapton, and Sting. And yet, each man has an entire aspect to his life that he doesn’t talk about publicly—his depression, his rocky marriage, his feelings of shame and failure, his private loss of faith. And now: The phone rings. Imagine the woman who has each of these men at her beck and call.

From the very get-go, there is the thrill of the chase and enemies among the ranks! A real thriller! Narrators can make or break a good book. Colin Martin brings this story to life! His performance is consistent and engaging! I’m looking forward to the third book!

Historia
Ten years ago he killed my son. Today I married him. Ten years ago my darling son Jesse was murdered and our perfect family was destroyed. My strong, handsome boy, so full of life, became a memory, a photo I carried with me everywhere. But today I’m finally close to finding happiness again. My ash-blonde hair has been curled into ringlets. Carefully placed white flowers frame my delicate features. The small, drab chapel has been prettied up with white satin, and there are tiny red hearts scattered on the small table where I will soon sign the register with my new husband.

I had a thoroughly good time!
Revisado: 01-05-22
I have to say, this was a fun listen! KL Slater has a fantastic creative mind and Lucy Price-Lewis did a wonderful job of narrating. I'm not going to rehash the plot because others have already done that, and anyway, who wants to know what's going to happen? Enjoy discovering the story line for yourself. It's much more fun that way. The narrator does such a great job with all of the characters, that she allowed me to dive deeply into that world and completely forget that a woman was reading for a male character (at times). Or a young man, or an old lady (like me)!!!
Thank you KL Slater and Lucy Price-Lewis. You made my house-hold chores and exercise routine far more enjoyable! I look forward to more of your collaboration!

Revisado: 06-17-21
This is a military suspense book with some futuristic twists and turns. Mark Roberts has a great imagination, as the listener never knows what will happen next! From the very beginning, the characters come to life with Colin Martin’s action-paced narrating! His voice is clear and crisp, making the story even more effective! I really enjoyed the clever ending! Thanks for the fun, Mark and Colin!

Historia
On New Year's Day in 1870, 10-year-old Adolph Korn was kidnapped by an Apache raiding party. Traded to Comanches, he thrived in the rough nomadic existence, quickly becoming one of the tribe's fiercest warriors. Forcibly returned to his parents after three years, Korn never adjusted to life in white society. He spent his last years living in a cave, all but forgotten by his family. That is, until Scott Zesch stumbled upon his great-great-great-uncle's grave. Determined to understand how such a "good boy" could have become Indianized so completely, Zesch traveled across the West.
