Monty saw defeat at the hands of the devils and death has reached the elven lands faster than anybody had expected. Hidden powers surge, mighty allies and enemies appear in the distance, and the nomad can do nothing but move on in the hope the caravan lives another day. The elven lands have been left behind in the hope of greener plains and the goblin cities are around the corner. The others promise riches from rags, but there has to be more hidden underneath the sharp sun. A [Cleric] may never rest, after all.

The story is engaging and the narrator is not too bland. That said, Several times when listing skills read out, the skill name is missing from the narration. Also spread out through the book are other gaps where a word or 2 are missing. It is like the post editing of the narration was not very thorough.
These gaps can cause the listener to focus on the discontinuities and miss story.

This was an excellent start to a new progression series! The story starts quickly and maintains suspense throughout. There are progression advancement elements sprinkled in, complimenting story rather than distracting from it.
In this world nearly everyone is an elemental manipulator with ink that grants them extraordinary power.
We follow a character and his family that cannot absorb the ink. They are seen as outcasts, but outcasts who provides a needed service.

The pace quickens

In hostile takeover, events press in from the start of the book and escalate as the story progresses. With the quicker pass of this story and epic battles, it was hard to put the book down.
I can’t wait for the next book.

The advertisement offered the ultimate Virtual Reality experience. Using a new technology known as Immersive Virtual Reality or IVR, you could truly experience the game as if you were in it. For someone who has been confined to a wheelchair all of his life, the promise was impossible to ignore, but only a few would be invited to take part in the Alpha test of the new game. Devon decided he would be one of those few.

A very refreshing start to this genre with fun 70s-80s references.
Sadly, the author passed soon after publication. While I hope for it to be finished by those close to the author, I fear Angromoria may have died with him.

A Fun Delve into a Norse Universe

I was initially skeptical of this book because of the plethora of Norse stores that are popular now. I was pleasantly surprised with The VeilVerse stories. They take only enough to build believeable worlds with intriguing character development and build in whole new directions.
You don’t need to read any other VeilVerse book to get this story, but you can read about another concurrent story line featuring Ash in Cultivating Chaos.

Excellent sequel!

This book was great fun with all of the detail and stats that I crave from the Lit RPG genre.
Oren continues to grow his goblin city while preparing for the impending assault from his old guild. The conclusion of this book left me very interested in where the story is going and presents whole new angles of story in the future.
