Historia
Diane, the surrogate mother, was quickly adapting to her new life in the institute. Milked several times a day, her pussy was also available to the staff whenever they wanted it, which was a good thing, as her libido was sky high. Once into her daily routine, she was ready to meet the professor's clients.

Narrator Issues
Revisado: 02-13-21
The narrator has problems with cadence, annunciation and pronunciation. It is “eh•nuh•muh” not “em•nah•muh.” Also, the book was WRITTEN and not “ridden” by C J Edwards. Lastly, it was read with a forced, quick cadence that did not account for any of the story line itself. Pauses were in wrong places, commas were ignored and most sentences were forced run-ons.

Historia
Millions of people visit xkcd.com each week to read Randall Munroe's iconic webcomic. His stick-figure drawings about science, technology, language, and love have a large and passionate following. Fans of xkcd ask Munroe a lot of strange questions. What if you tried to hit a baseball pitched at 90 percent of the speed of light? How fast can you hit a speed bump while driving and live? If there were a robot apocalypse, how long would humanity last?

Awesome book! Wil Wheaton phones it in, though.
Revisado: 06-12-15
Would you consider the audio edition of What If? to be better than the print version?
No. The print version has all of Randall's awesome drawings in it. While the drawings are stick figures, they paint a very appropriate and sometimes necessary visual narrative to the story being told.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Relativistic Baseball or Spent Fuel Pool where my favorites. Although my favorite character of the web series, Robert'); DROP TABLE Students;-- (AKA Little Bobby Tables) did not appear, the text did not lack.
What aspect of Wil Wheaton’s performance would you have changed?
He did not use the right vocal inflection. Many times when a sentence was exclamatory, he waited till the last couple of words before his pitch changed. Much like a young/inexperienced reader following word-by-word without contextual understanding or pretext. "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog!" Read as, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dOG!"
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laughed out loud many, many times.
Any additional comments?
I like Wil Wheaton. He's a good guy. He just needed more practice and not use the cold read as the production release. He's got a good voice, so I'll give him another chance. But I'd listen to the book again and recommend it.

Famed investigative journalist Eric Schlosser digs deep to uncover secrets about the management of America's nuclear arsenal. A groundbreaking account of accidents, near misses, extraordinary heroism, and technological breakthroughs, Command and Control explores the dilemma that has existed since the dawn of the nuclear age: How do you deploy weapons of mass destruction without being destroyed by them? That question has never been resolved - and Schlosser reveals how the combination of human fallibility and technological complexity still poses a grave risk to mankind.

Wonderful Book - Exceptional Narration
Revisado: 06-08-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Command and Control to be better than the print version?
Yes. The narrator did not only "read" the book, but provided queues and emphasis that captured my attention and painted a much richer picture than I could have by just reading it.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
It was well rehearsed. You could tell the narrator knew the subject matter, at least to the extent to correctly pronounce everything and provide the necessary emphasis.
What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Good voice, pleasing tone, foreknowing the story to provide the proper emphasis and appropriate tone where needed.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
How close we came and how luck continues to play-out.
