I needed to hear this!
Revisado: 04-25-20
First of all, Thank you to the author, Ben, and your team of editors, publishers, audiobook producers, Kevin for his reading, etc. I really needed to hear this book and be reminded of some core principles in leadership and management. I manage a multi-million dollar sales team and our performance has been flat. I’ve felt we’ve had some problems but this book has put many things into perspective for me. Of all the things I’ve taken from the great leadership stories of past and present leaders, the small things like clear and concise communication, clarity from leadership, process, and thoughtful but tough decision making are important to ensure success. I’m excited to put more emphasis on culture with my team and the company this year. This is highly recommended for leaders at all levels, business owners, students, parents, etc.

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Gladwell does it again!
Revisado: 03-29-20
I’ve read several, not all, of Malcolm Gladwell’s books. Talking to Strangers is one of his best. To boot, the audiobook is much more engaging than just the author reading. It is produced with music, interviews, and news reports so well that I couldn’t wait to listen to the next chapter. The content is thought provoking, as usual, and challenges the way we think & interact with others. I’m in a professional position that depends on relationship building and management. I am so happy I read this. Thank you Malcom!

A must read for team players and leaders (active and aspiring) in all aspects of life/profession. Shane artfully explains lessons on dream team success through amazing and thought-provoking stories. I’ve also been using these lessons in my personal life too. I can’t say enough about this book. Listen. Share with your loved ones and colleagues.

Historia
Every day we experience the uncertainty, risks, and emotional exposure that define what it means to be vulnerable or to dare greatly. Based on 12 years of pioneering research, Dr. Brené Brown dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity.

Inspiring and full of so much wisdom
Revisado: 06-02-19
I am a big believer that books find you when you need them most. I am going through some complicated times in my life and I needed every word, example, and relatable situation Brené provided. This book has given me the tools to be more courageous, more thoughtful with my words, and express myself in ways that create lasting joy. Brené speaks (writes) as if you are her neighbor. No complicated scientific words. Just some thoughtful and very insightful personal experiences and results from her many years of research. This book is filled with some many great lessons on relationships, parenting, and leadership. I am changed because of reading it and I am certain you will walk away feeling enlightened after you read it too.

It taught me quite a bit and reinforced some habits I thought were less important. Enjoy growing your team and your profits.
