Historia
You already have everything you need inside you to move from chaos to clarity, from self-neglect to self-possession, from burned out to lit up. Does the constant juggling of personal and professional demands leave you drained, overwhelmed, and ready to give up? You are not alone. There is another way, and it doesn’t require throwing it all out and spending five years in a cave.

Relatable and easy to follow

There are parts of this that are oversimplified but overall it’s nice to hear that one woman has a found a way to make it all work.

Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Don't miss this fascinating story!
Revisado: 04-13-18
Where does Born a Crime rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book ranks among the highest audiobooks I've listened to so far. Trevor has a wonderful reading voice and his performance was so engaging. Listening to this book is more like listening to a long conversation he's having with you. Wonderful!
What did you like best about this story?
I loved how honest and vulnerable Trevor Noah was throughout this book. He truly delved into some areas of his life most folks would try hard to cover-up or forget, and it all makes you truly respect how far he's come in his career - and easily predict how far he will go in the future. I was a fan before listening to this, but an even greater fan now.
Have you listened to any of Trevor Noah’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, this was the first one.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried in a couple of places. I won't say which ones so as not to give away the storyline, but because Trevor Noah is such a good conversationalist, it's not long before you feel connected to him and you begin to truly connect with his emotions.
Any additional comments?
This was truly a surprise hit with me. I highly recommend it to others.
