Historia
Despite an impressive résumé as an actor and writer, Dan Ahdoot realized that food has been the through line in the most important moments of his life. Growing up as a middle child, Ahdoot struggled to find his place in the family until he and his father discovered their shared love for la gourmandise. But when the tragic death of his brother pushed his parents to strengthen their Jewish faith and adopt a strictly kosher diet, Ahdoot and his father lost that savored connection.

Nothing to dislike about this book, or the storytelling. Honestly so compelling I could have finished in a single day if I had started early enough. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a laugh, or anyone who loves food/cooking.

Historia
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Historia
We are influenced by every person and interaction we have, and, in turn, we influence everyone and everything around us. We all have a choice about what to do with our influence: Will we leave a negative impact on others or use our influence to become a shining beacon of positivity? Smith and Griffin upskill listeners with tools to stay humble, lead themselves and the people around them well, and create opportunities to expand their influence in new and exciting ways.

Revisado: 06-26-23
Another insightful labor of love from Smith and Griffin! Positive Influence builds on the lessons and advice taught in their first book Individual Influence. This book is a must read for anyone looking for tips on sharing their influence in positive ways with the individuals and teams that they interact with.

Historia
While most of us have grown up being taught that the letter “I” has no place in the word “team,” teams are wholly made up of individual advantages that contribute to the collective power of the group. In Individual Influence, authors Brian and Mary Smith go far beyond this axiom, making a persuasive case that even a company or team of individual players is still an “Individual” at its core—expressing the collective influence of all those who play a role in it. Thus, there is not just one “I” in team, but many.

Well written. Well narrated. Highly recommend.
I listened to this book while I was walking my dog in the evenings and found that, for me personally, this was a thoroughly enjoyable way to take in the material. There’s something very peaceful about an evening walk, which makes it the perfect time to open your mind to finding and growing in your positive influence.
