Historia
Juanita di Perli was a young woman when she decided to live the rest of her life on a table-top. She called it God's will, but for the order of nuns that sprang up around her, Juanita's devotion was a curse. For decades they did the bidding of the holy grouch, and the entire island of San Juan el Pirata sighed with relief when she died. Twenty years later, the islanders fight for Juanita's canonization - not because they liked her, but because a local saint would be a tourist boon. The only thing keeping the island poor is the Archduke, who refuses to ask Rome to consider Juanita for sainthood.

Stick with Green for Danger!
Revisado: 12-20-24
Love Derek Perkins…my favorite reader. Otherwise, it’s hard to believe this cam from the same author as Green for Danger, or Heads you lose. Avoid this one! 😝

Historia
Life for Henrietta Jenkins was a quiet, well-ordered affair - a home with her widowed mother and degree studies at university. But her life changed dramatically when, just before her 21st birthday, her mother’s body was found in a quiet road, apparently the victim of a hit-and-run driver. For not only did the simple case turn into a murder hunt, but the post mortem also revealed that Grace Jenkins had never had any children. In which case, who was Henrietta?

WONDERFUL MYSTERY
Revisado: 11-22-22
All of the narrators for this series are delightful. I suggest to those who complain about the narratives being “too fast” to simply adjust the speed. Simple
solution.

Historia
Not long after Isabel "Izzy" Chambers opens up a knitting shop in the sleepy fishing town of Sea Harbor, Massachusetts, a diverse group of women begins congregating each week to form the Seaside Knitters. Izzy raises some eyebrows when she rents the apartment above her shop to Angie Archer, whose reputation for loose behavior and a quick temper has made her unpopular with many locals. But could any of them have wanted her dead? Angie's body is discovered drowned in the harbor, her long red hair tangled like seaweed in a lobster trap.

I wasted a credit on this?
Revisado: 07-17-22
Only bright spot in this book was Julie McKay’s narrative talents. Check out her narration in the Hildegard Withers books. I can listen to them repeatedly. Was hoping this book would be like the Monica Ferris (And then you Dye) mystery knitting series, but I couldn’t warm to any of the characters, and there was way too much extended details of food, and very little plot and no suspense…I hardly made it through.
