Wake up call for hesitant unschoolers
Revisado: 08-28-24
Let go of your control, trust the process, and watch your children bloom… but more eloquently stated with examples and tips. Don’t judge me… but I cried a little. Im a traditional homeschooler, but this really made me want to move towards the unschooling my philosophy. The automated reader sounds nearly human until it says 10:30 as 10 colon 30!

Very descriptive adventure romance
Revisado: 05-01-21
Carrot got on my nerves at times, but maybe because she openly described her insecurities in a way that made me also feel vulnerable. Hot and bothered scenes written in a way that are slightly smutty, but not full on romance novel or erotica. Shares a theme with every thru hike story I've heard: tired, hungry, beautiful, trail provides, this hike must be your own... Overall a pretty good story, but only rated a 4 because it was fairly anti-climactic until the very end, which was quite poetic.

While the world seems to be in love with the idea of tiny houses and minimalism, many of us simply can't purge it all and start from nothing. Yet a home with too much stuff is difficult to maintain, so where do we begin? Add in paralyzing emotional attachments and constant life challenges, and it can feel almost impossible to make real decluttering progress.

Makes want to start it all over again
Revisado: 02-28-21
Real life. It's crazy how these examples and methods help me to declutter. I just keep hearing her say "duh" when I don't want to admit that my kids broken hand me downs won't be handed down anymore. Plus a bonus about helping other people declutter "dos and don'ts". I'm already seeing the "slow progress" she talks about just by listening passively while I live at the speed of life. It's interesting how much emotional baggage comes with clutter... Real tears working through this stuff.

Historia
The story of a student who went to extraordinary lengths - including living in a van on a campus parking lot - to complete his education without sacrificing his financial future. In a frank and self-deprecating voice, memoirist Ken Ilgunas writes about the existential terror of graduating from college with $32,000 in student debt. Inspired by Thoreau, Ilgunas set himself a mission: get out of debt as soon as humanly possible. To that end, he undertook an extraordinary three-year transcontinental journey.

Choose to be Free
Revisado: 01-25-21
Adventure after adventure, I listen and yearn for the freedom the author created for himself. He discussed the seemingly inevitable debts of being a well-educated individual and the ways in which he dodged the bullet. Makes me want to take adventures and get out of debt, as if they weren't already on my radar. A pleasant mix of finance and adventure. Narrated well.

Uplifting
Revisado: 12-03-20
I thoroughly enjoyed the writer's perspective on women and success. I did have me introspecting many different elements of my life and career. Also has me feeling like I should never have to say no if I don't want to. I liked that she allowed diversity in the spiritual elements of her perspective, but that was a bit of a heavy theme throughout the book, which is inual for my taste.
