Historia
Six months ago, the world watched in horror as we lost an American city. The Grinder. That's what the survivors of Tucson called the monster. Just one touch, and they became a part of it. It used their bodies as limbs and as weapons. In just a matter of hours, it became huge, a towering monstrosity made entirely out of tens of thousands of people and animals.

I hated the characters. I hate their wasted lives. Add more drugs and self-destruction and I will want to kill you myself. Augh! 😠 cowards, crackwhores, and disability leeches. There are no heroes in this book.

Fresh off their defeat of the lich’s army, Gary and his friends find themselves preparing for an even larger threat. While unlocking elder magic gave them the juice they needed to turn aside one foe, it uncorked the bottle holding back an ancient evil. Gary knows what’s coming because he wrote it. Now, with political responsibilities crushing him from one side and a demonic army looming on the other, Gary must balance the necessity of victory with the means to achieve it. Fans of Dungeons and Dragons and old TSR novels will love Hero Time.

This series explores what fantasy role playing games leave unspoken; the impact and logic behind game world rules. Can you imagine what life would be like, if you had to face wandering monsters chart results?

I greatly appreciate and enjoy this series. The author doesn't go Low-brow; no scat, no harems. The story is better for it. I love that the author expects more from the reader's mind.

Historia
Gary Burns just wanted to create the greatest RPG campaign of his gaming career. But a freak magical accident sucks him into the very world he created - as himself. Surrounded by heroes who look and sound like his friends, Gary is forced to play out the story he wrote. Worthless in a fight, Gary must prove himself valuable even if it means feeding the team insider knowledge. Metagamer Chronicles puts the RPG into LitRPG. If you miss the rattle of dice and gaming at a table with your friends, the Metagamer Chronicles are what you've been craving.

A bold epic!
Revisado: 02-13-20
I hope that this author has more! I loved every second. Who would have thought litRpg would be so skillful and brilliant!
Some of the issues brought up by others are petty, and evidence of lacking Game Mastering experience. People have flaws, we can act on what we know but might not.
Players can be coarse, profane, perverse, and derail the adventure.
This isn't a power fantasy. Converting real world people to match game statistics and rules can give you some very disappointing results. How many of you have ability scores above 14? The bell curve is both accurate and cruel...
Me?
Well at the age of 17 I was running 4 minute miles, swimming laps across the public area of whiskey town lake, an artist and a marksman. Oh, I rarely ever got sick. I took martial arts classes ; taekwondo, and kenpo.
In terms of might, I have worked on roofing jobs were I regularly had to lift and carry 80 lbs bundles of shingles. Often two at a time.
I have tested and have a 142 I.q. I enjoy electrical engineering. I am a c-d student though when it comes to advanced subjects; calculus, chemistry, digital logic, and physics.
So, I would have some very good ability scores.

Drol and derivative.
Revisado: 12-27-17
It starts out, trying to sound smart...
Then turns to garbage.
This book uses metaphors to describe hyperspace travel as a (vaginal) gash and spacecraft (as peinises). It further asserts that all men are rapists, bent on odepal lust for mommy, or they are mentally ill hedonists.
In the tradition of Social Justice Warriors, a token black person is tossed in to be a purse puppy, and no, the description isn't all that racist... Aside from the bolt (read as bone) through her nose. Oh, and since the main character "Mary sue" is female, the murderous pirate who brings her into her cargo hold... Is a lesbian.
The Author 's idea of A.I. Is that twiggy robot from Buck Rodgers!
All the while, the author is mocking the reader, gleeful at having ripped you off.

Gray doom.
Revisado: 12-27-17
Smart, blunt, and brutal. This book is not for the faint of heart. If you can not bear to watch the nuclear war survival movie THEADS from the eighties... Do not get this book.
If you can handle hard science and bitter truth, I recommend this text unequivocally as the best in this field. Now, it isn't full of math, chemistry, and electronics, but the thinking reader will appreciate this work.
Yes, there is drama and a bit of love...
But this book is not mush.
This book is what science fiction should be.
This book is survival in an apocalypse.
No zombies, no magic, it is as real as it gets.
It will make you ask , "Am I ready for what can happen?"
Again, brutal truth, like a John Steinbeck work.
The Author should be proud of the caliber of this work. Very well researched!

Uhm, no.
Revisado: 08-20-16
I read sci-fi to explore the future; a speculative vision of the future rooted in the bleeding edge of science and technology. This book has teleportation. That is it for the future tech. Sure there's an information economy, but it is by talking to people. The first protagonist doesn't carry a smartphone, tablet, nor augmented reality visor. The info economy belongs to information technology, Not local yokkels. There is mention of "exploring modes of thought". There is brief mention of dark matter. There is some dabbling in 5th dimensional concepts. A bit pertaining to headscaning tech that recorded what the wearer sees and hears.
Then there is the bait and switch to convenient amnesia girl...
" Feminist goddess claptrap, muscle bound violent murdering black men are her sexual fetish, and the only white guy with a description is described as the devil. To top it all off, there is "the secret" of closing your eyes and avoiding "observers" to teleport, to posses others, time travel, and stay young forever...
Yeah, I could have skipped all this.
This book made me sick of reverse racists and the distorted psychology of feminism.

Historia
Serving aboard the Ananke, an experimental military spacecraft launched by the ruthless organization that rules Earth and its solar system, computer scientist Althea has established an intense emotional bond—not with any of her crewmates, but with the ship’s electronic systems, which speak more deeply to her analytical mind than human feelings do. But when a pair of fugitive terrorists gain access to the Ananke, Althea must draw upon her heart and soul for the strength to defend her beloved ship.

Where is the science
Revisado: 08-20-16
I read sci-fi to explore the future. Speculation rooted in today's bleed edge. There is a spaceship. It has a micro black hole for propulsion. They have guns with rubber bullet ammo. And that is it for the tech. As far as visions of the future go, this book may as well be steampunk.
The writting is from the female perspective, but saddly it doesn't do women any favors. Every Male in sight seemed to be a potential one night stand regardless of character or potential for abuse.
