definitely missing some stories.
Revisado: 10-11-18
I bought it because it said it was the definitive Sherlock Holmes audiobook. I know at least one story is missing from this collection.

amazing but there are quality issues.

The audio skips, pops, scratches, and occasionally cuts out for a few seconds, as if copied from a damaged cd.

The Nebula Storm's reactor was ruined in the landing, the Odin's shuttle can't make the trip back home, and the only vessel that could have make the journey to save them has just been destroyed by a renegade crewman, bad luck, and the remorseless forces of nature.

good, if technical
Revisado: 09-15-17
a lot of dry technical explanations. narrator has improved significantly since the first book in the series. bad accents and mispronunciations are still quite common. however, it's pretty well written.

Historia
When the strange fossil she'd discovered ended up giving her a trip to Mars, Helen Sutter thought she'd gone about as far as any paleontologist would ever go in her lifetime. But when you've also married A.J. Baker, overconfident super-sensor expert for the only private agency in space (the Ares Corporation), and your best friend Madeline Fathom Buckley is a former secret agent who's just signed on as the chief of security for the newly created and already embattled Interplanetary Research Institute of the United Nations, there's always somewhere farther to go.

not amazing but still decent
Revisado: 09-08-17
story is very technical, so if dry science bores you, this might not be the book for you. narrator is bad. Mispronunciations and horrible cliché accents abound. if you have time, read it instead

The Baltic War which began in the novel 1633 is still raging, and the time-lost Americans of Grantville - the West Virginia town hurled back into the seventeenth century by a mysterious cosmic accident - are caught in the middle of it. Gustavus Adolphus, King of Sweden and Emperor of the United States of Europe, prepares a counter-attack on the combined forces of France, Spain, England, and Denmark - former enemies which have allied in the League of Ostend to destroy the American threat to their power.

brilliantly conceived
Revisado: 08-13-17
like most things with David Weber, it gets too technical at times. Story's great, though.
